Run in with a Walgreens Mgr over some Swedish Fish (1 Viewer)

I liken MOP to Costanza during the first Yankees' Board Room scene in 'The Jerk Store' episode. So while the scenario at the Walgreens (having a problem getting 3/$4 for mixed products) probably did happen, the confrontation didn't. Why it didn't happen can either be chalked up to dimwittedness or spinelessness. To be fair, the likelihood of it being a combination of both is prevalent. So on the way home, MOPey replays the scenario in his head. Finally, he realizes that it would have been cool 'if I had responded with this' as he sits in his car, stewing about what happened, while waiting for the stoplight to turn from red to green.

So he comes home and glamorizes what was really a mundane occurrence for the FBG masses to compensate for his shortcomings IRL.

In Canada, if any item get scanned improperly (above the quoted price) it's free. It's law.

Up to a maximum of 10$

That being said, Ive seen items scanned improperly, customer makes it known, manager comes, changes it, and that's the end.

NEVER once seen an issue over the matter. Ends as quickly as it starts

I feel like a guy like MOP would get the free item and still write to corporate that if he wasnt a savvy, aware customer, Walgreen's would have taken advantage of him and countless other fixed income families - and seek reparation like that race of minorities he doesn't seem to like working in his Walgreen's got.
Publix has a policy that if something is not marked right or sale sign not taken down...it's free. I love picking thru the aisles since I know a lot about the workings of the stores, always find stuff out of date and signs misplaced...I think the manager groans when i come walking thru thee door, he knows I'm going to point out a few things to him...there's a back story for another thread here involving a 21 year old young lady that told me just a little too much inside info on the inner working of their in store mgmt team so I know things I just shouldn't.
