Because Davis was close to the ball? Horrible call, horrible.

Ball was already on the ground.Defender just wanted to make a hit.

Just watched it on replay 4 times. The ball was on the ground when he hit him.....not for very long in real time, but it had already hit the ground.

I'll play along. So when the ball is deflected and the receiver you are covering is going after it. Ball is falling to the ground near him and you go for the hit, and the ball falls two yards away pretty much at the same moment you hit the guy. That should be a penalty?

I don't really have a view on that. You seemed to not believe the ball was on the ground. That error is all I'm pointing out.Should it be a penalty? Not in my view. But then again, many of the "penalties" called these days just seem like sissy bull#### to me. Against that backdrop, it seemed obvious that a flag would be thrown for that hit.

It was a penalty. Period. In this game or any other. Watching replays the ball already hit the ground. If you disagree you have diarrea ofvthe eyes.

Looks like the refs want to try and get control of it early now.

I have no rooting interest in this game. Boldin holding touch penalty away from the play as well as both Personal Fouls were not calls you make in this game. On we go.

Bottom line: the Panthers are not playing smart right now. Being aggressive and physical is one thing, but you gotta be smart about it.

Pushing and shoving and some trash talking is fine, very rarely gonna get flagged. Even 5 or more years ago if you run up to another player and headbutt him like that, it gets flagged. Very dumb play by the Panther.

Again, it might be imperfect red job (he should have separated the players sooner) but once 1 guy headbutt so another player, he will get the flag. This is basic stuff.
