Santonio Holmes in the news again. (1 Viewer)

If you don't like the rules the airline imposes, take a freakin' bus. SH and all you AH's defending him.
Listen to some tunes and hit a J if you don't like the rules airlines impose. This is a much better protest than some tea party in Boston.

Holmes' account of flight incident to Jets coach Ryan corroborates police statement

Ryan said Saturday that Holmes told him he turned off the iPod when asked Thursday night, but fell asleep with the ear buds still in on the Colgan Air flight from Newark Liberty International Airport to Pittsburgh International Airport.

Holmes told Ryan on Friday that the flight attendant came by again and upon seeing the ear buds still in, said he never turned off the iPod. Holmes insisted he had already done so.

"He literally handed the ear things to the lady sitting beside him, and she said, 'Yeah, you can't hear anything. They're off,'" Ryan said Holmes told him.

Turns out to be a tempest in a teapot. Not sure how this became a news story.
Apparently because one flight attendant reported him, and someone in the media ran with that part of the story instead of the rest of it.
Authorities at Pittsburgh International Airport filed a report after the flight attendant claimed Holmes failed to follow regulations as the plane was landing around 9 p.m. Holmes waited for police officers to question him at the gate, but he was not arrested or charged."He was asked to remove his iPod (at one point), in which he complied," the police said in a statement.

physics aside, I think we can all agree that he endangered the lives of hundreds, some of whom were probably children.let's just leave it at that.
Umm, I can't agree with that. Endangered lives? Nah.
In addition to the FCC’s rules, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) prohibits in-flight use of wireless devices because of potential interference to the aircraft’s navigation and communication systems. For this same reason the FAA also regulates the use of all portable electronic devices (PEDs), such as iPods and portable DVD players, during flight.
It has not been proven that any electronics actually interfere with the navigational and communication systems. If it did I think terrorists would be on to it by now.
I believe this one was BUSTED on Myth Busters.

Looks like the police are AH's, according to that thinking.

Not a big deal but this guy just loves to make trouble...
of course, I'm sure it'll be a big deal when your flight's delayed an hour because of some jackass.
I am not condoning his actions and hell yes it would annoy me that my flight was being delayed because a jerk wouldn't turn off his ipod. I was just saing it is not like he tried to get on board with a loaded gun, etc.
Or forced a stewardess into a bathroom and whipped it out.
EXCUSE ME WHILE I WHIP THIS OUT.

So you are telling me the TSA will allow 300 of these on a plane, yet I can't bring my tweezers on?
