1 through 5 are too generic ...toes, fingers, easy to count.  They're just weak, introductory numbers.  6 starts to add just a hint of sophistication.  It's not as irregular as, say, 7 or 9.  And unlike 8, it doesn't tease with the hint of double digits to come.  It stands strong.  6 is a key member of the 1-100 family.  It's closely related to 2 and 3 (2 x 3!), and it's a well-recognized foundation for many other numbers from 12, 18, 24 (all elegant in their own respect) on into the 90's.  When doubled up (66), it signifies a great road in American history.  So yes: 6.

if there is one number that should not be in the top 100 numbers 1 thru 100 it is 47 i hate that little sob take that to the bank bromigos 

 
47 is a prime number a lucas number and a lucas prime brohan need i say more it stinks and there aint 2 ways about it take that to the bank bromigos

You sonofa#####, you made me google Lucas numbers and made me learn something.   You take your Lucas numbers with you to the bank, you jerk.

Typical FFA.  So integer-centric, with a token nod to the one irrational number people have decided to tolerate.

How can you overlook all the great rational non-integers?  Where would sports betting be without +3.5?  Baseball without iconic numbers like 60.5?
