Wait, how are they in the wrong? But yet not backtracking yet. Almost all stories out there is the Bennett narrative. I am not convinced the police were 100 percent in the right, but the racism angle is not supported.

Falsely accusing racism is on par with being racist when it comes to driving a wedge between the two sides that need to come together. I can't think of a worse word to use. Do you think Bennett, Carroll or the NFL is helping police departments deal with racism in any way with this crap?Every time I hear a stupid white person say something like this I cringe.
throughIn his letter this guy even through out the "N" word. He played the card no one else is allowed to play.
Wishing someone physical harm is pretty horrible.Choices. We all get them.
I choose to believe we have the capacity to be better and we all want to be better.
I choose to believe most people are damaged goods. Like you. You are damaged. Likely not your own fault, but still damaged just like the rest of us. Some of us to a larger degree.
I choose to believe you lash out at others because of the damage done to you, as was likely done to Michael Bennett at some point.
I choose to believe the better nature in all of us is to seek perspective in events. Sometimes our damaged self chooses not to embrace perspective.
This post by irish eyes typifies why I think the anonymity in the intergoogle is a breeding ground for the worst parts of us.![]()
Yes, there is something wrong with you. Wishing for a blown ACL on a player you've never met is an atrocious mindset and one that displays a blatant character flaw inside of you. As Hooper says, it's probably not your fault. You were more than likely raised this way or learned along your path in life that wishing bodily harm to strangers who did not inflict bodily harm to you or anybody you know is a perfectly fine sentiment to express openly. Pretty sick.No I'm not damaged one bit. Tired of this race BS every minute of every day. Then this piece of crap flat out lies about what happened. But apparently saying stupid white people on here is quite alright, and there is something wrong with me?? Okaaayyyyy
I haven't followed this case closely. I saw his statement and some random comments here. Has this definitely been proven?Falsely accusing racism is on par with being racist when it comes to driving a wedge between the two sides that need to come together. I can't think of a worse word to use. Do you think Bennett, Carroll or the NFL is helping police departments deal with racism in any way with this crap?
It's pretty hard to "prove" that something wasn't racially motivated, but it seems pretty highly unlikely that this was racially motivated.I haven't followed this case closely. I saw his statement and some random comments here. Has this definitely been proven?
To me it has. Bennett's claim is that he was targeted because he was a N (his word, not mine). The single video we have from inside the casino shows a lot of Afro Americans. To me what distinguished Bennett from the other folks was that he made a distinct effort to run away from the police while everyone else was just moving out of the way. In any case he wasn't distinguishable from the crowd of people by the color of his skin.I haven't followed this case closely. I saw his statement and some random comments here. Just look at the issue that triggered him.Yes, there is something wrong with you. I'll take your bait. Because it naturally makes people question others when they make these accusations in the future including the ones that are truly valid. Kind of like the woman that cried rape when she wasn't raped. It's pretty disgusting what Bennett did and hurts Kaepernick and his cause far more than anything else. Why the obsession with black people who lie about racial things?
This line of reasoning isn't going to go well for you.I'll take your bait. Ugh, nevermindThis line of reasoning isn't going to go well for you.
When a woman cries rape but wasn't raped, it only hurts her credibility. When people try to use that example to question the credibility and motives of other women, then those people are quite rightfully described as misogynist bigots.
Now, imagine when a poster on a message board uses the lies of one black person to impugn the credibility and motives of other black people. What kind of word do you think would rightfully be used to describe such a person?
So there is a video or videos that document all of this or just parts of it?To me it has. Bennett's claim is that he was targeted because he was a N (his word, not mine). His own lawyer says the "arrest" wasn't racially motivated. So there is a video or videos that document all of this or just parts of it?
Because it drives a wedge between the groups that need to come together almost as much as racism itself. It should be focused on almost as much as racism. Why the obsession with black people who lie about racial things?
I don't know how much more black and white it can be, pun intended, when someone in a group of black people claims he was singled out for being black. So there is a video or videos that document all of this or just parts of it?
Look in the mirror and ask yourself why you only show concern about racial harmony when a black person is accused of lying.Because it drives a wedge between the groups that need to come together almost as much as racism itself. It should be focused on almost as much as racism. Why the obsession with black people who lie about racial things?
You have no idea what it is like to be black in this country. It's about time white people start to feel uncomfortable about racial issues. The groups will never "come together" as long as white people keep their heads in the sand about what it is like to live in this country as a person of color.Because it drives a wedge between the groups that need to come together almost as much as racism itself. It should be focused on almost as much as racism.
EVERY DAY a black person needs to worry about whether he or she was singled out for being black. Because it happens all. the. time. If you live your life with dangers all around, I'll excuse you for jumping at shadows.I don't know how much more black and white it can be, pun intended, when someone in a group of black people claims he was singled out for being black.
I have, and I'm concerned about both sides. This one just happens to be the side you don't agree with.Look in the mirror and ask yourself why you only show concern about racial harmony when a black person is accused of lying.
It's the same people that think Obama was the guy who ruined racial harmony.Look in the mirror and ask yourself why you only show concern about racial harmony when a black person is accused of lying.
It will never come together with people pulling stunts like Bennett is right now either. And I'm sorry people can't magically change the color of their skin for you.You have no idea what it is like to be black in this country. It's about time white people start to feel uncomfortable about racial issues. The groups will never "come together" as long as white people keep their heads in the sand about what it is like to live in this country as a person of color.
Fair. But, that isn't the case with Bennett is it? He waited a week. He wasn't going to tell anyone until TMZ leaked the video. He's using the thing you hate to cover his own selfish ###.EVERY DAY a black person needs to worry about whether he or she was singled out for being black. Because it happens all. the. time. Perhaps we could start by treating people as individuals and not stereotyping them based on race. You have no idea what it is like to be black in this country. Of course people aren't going to come together when you continue to divide them up by the color of their skin. What does that have to with Bennett being a liar tho?You have no idea what it is like to be black in this country. It's about time white people start to feel uncomfortable about racial issues. I haven't been keeping up with this but I just read a tweet from Bennett's lawyer that says they sent a request for information - including body camera footage - on 8/29. And by law, the LVPD was to respond by 9/5. When they didn't, Bennett requested a meeting with the police.Fair. But, that isn't the case with Bennett is it? He waited a week. He wasn't going to tell anyone until TMZ leaked the video. He's using the thing you hate to cover his own selfish ###.
I don't think that word means what you think it means.Fair. But, that isn't the case with Bennett is it? He waited a week. He wasn't going to tell anyone until TMZ leaked the video. He's using the thing you hate to cover his own selfish ###.
Seattle Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett has promised to donate all the endorsement money he receives in 2017 to charities that focus on helping minority communities and empowering women of color.
He will also donate 50% of his proceeds from his jersey sales to inner-city garden projects.
"I was inspired by Chance the Rapper to 'think bigger' when he pledged one million dollars to Chicago kids and their school system," Bennett said in a statement, according to ESPN. "So, I'll be joining him by investing in the future of our youth. The system is failing our kids, and it will be up to the community and our leaders to help keep the hope alive by focusing on improving our education system and the future of our kids. Any company that decides to invest in me, just know that you'll be investing in opportunities and providing inspiration for these families -- many who feel unnoticed or go unmentioned.
"I'm asking all professional athletes to join me by donating a portion of your endorsements this year to a cause of your choice. We can make a difference. It's up to us to help plant seeds of hope and help fuel the future."
Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett and his wife, Pele, formally announced a partnership with the African global movement iamtheCODE Tuesday morning to get 100 marginalised girls in Africa into S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) programs.
“I am truly excited to help these girls in Africa to learn how to code and gain technical skills through iamtheCODE,” Bennett said in a statement. “My wife Pele and I are very proud to support the building of solid tech training pipelines in communities in Africa.”
Added Pele Bennett: “Michael and I value deeply that the education of girls in marginalised and deprived communities is being taken care of and highlighted by the iamtheCODE initiative.”
The goal of the iamtheCODE movement is to "mobilize governments, investors, foundations, civil society and the private sector to invest in the future Digital leaders. iamtheCODE wants to ensure that by 2030, 1 million women and girls are enabled through technology, Digital Citizenship and literacy."
The partnership comes just two days after Bennett and his brother, Martellus, were honored with the Shine A Light Award for their involvement off the football field at the 2017 BET Awards.
Yeah, real selfish guy.Michael Bennett and his wife Pele have launched a foundation to fight childhood obesity.
'The Bennett Foundation' encourages kids and their families to live a healthy lifestyle through community outreach, educational workshops, physical activity, and nutritional programs.
The Seahawks defensive end kicked off the initiative with an event this past weekend, inviting children from the Boys & Girls Club of Bellevue out for a bike ride at Bellevue Downtown Park. Also joining Bennett on his joy ride reminiscent of the one he took following the team's NFC Championship win over the Green Bay Packers were linebacker K.J. Wright, defensive tackle Brandon Mebane, and left tackle Russell Okung.
The get together also served as an awareness-builder for Bennett's Family Health Fest coming up at the end of the month.
"We'll get the whole she-bang," Bennett told KING 5 News. "Whenever you're dealing with me you're dealing with the best. This is gonna be one of the best events Seattle's ever had. So, look out Paul, look out Bill Gates, I'm coming for you guys."
I'm not sure where you are getting this from. I'm not stereotyping. I'm explaining what it's like to live as an average black guy here in the USA.Perhaps we could start by treating people as individuals and not stereotyping them based on race.
Surely you understand that pointing out those things doesn't prove that Bennett never does anything selfishly for himself? It's just my theory at this point and I'm willing to admit I may be wrong. But, I think he ran from the police because he got caught in a situation that might have gotten him in trouble with his team or the league. Open to any other possible reasons.

Curious, what is the speculative bad situation that ultimately led to him actually NOT getting into any trouble whatsoever?Surely you understand that pointing out those things doesn't prove that Bennett never does anything selfishly for himself? at guys defending Michael Bennett here.I don't know that his reaction in Las Vegas was done out of selfishness. Seems odd to use that adjective here. He doesn't appear to be a very selfish person when you look at the bigger picture. Selfish people aren't as giving and altruistic as Bennett has proven to be in his career.Surely you understand that pointing out those things doesn't prove that Bennett never does anything selfishly for himself? Actually, the LVPD is investigating whether or not he was involved in the initial disturbance. So we may find out and he may end up in some trouble after all.Curious, what is the speculative bad situation that ultimately led to him actually NOT getting into any trouble whatsoever?
I posted links yesterday to reports by USA Today that LVPD is investigating and reviewing video from Drai's Night Club where Bennett may have been involved in an altercation leading up to these events.Curious, what is the speculative bad situation that ultimately led to him actually NOT getting into any trouble whatsoever?
These types of comments are exactly why things are getting worse, not better. You have no idea what it is like to be black in this country. It's about time white people start to feel uncomfortable about racial issues. You didn't explain anything. You just said that white people should be made to feel uncomfortable.I'm not sure where you are getting this from. I'm not stereotyping. I'm explaining what it's like to live as an average black guy here in the USA.
Based on what? His melanin content?Surely you understand that pointing out those things doesn't prove that Bennett never does anything selfishly for himself? I thought they were doing that when they cuffed him for 10 minutes (then let him go).Actually, the LVPD is investigating whether or not he was involved in the initial disturbance. So we may find out and he may end up in some trouble after all.
Cute and funny as always!!!Based on what? His melanin content?

At that point they were looking for an active shooter.I thought they were doing that when they cuffed him for 10 minutes (then let him go).
Then what are they looking for now? An inactive shooter? At that point they were looking for an active shooter.
