Seattle @ SF Part II (1 Viewer)

It don't mean a thing if you ain't got that ring....

Good morning ItS. I see you lurking. Up all night trolling Packer forums?
SEA has good coffee from what I have heard. I've seen them on the corner. "Seattle's Best". Never thought of trying it. I'm not into franchise coffee. But I hear the heroin is top notch.
:potkettle:
Actually I take my coffee with sugar and cream. No, I don't want any whipped cream thanks.

Funny, I hardly see any Cowboys vs. Skins or Raider vs. Chiefs threads here twice a year. But this is the second SEA vs. SF thread this season, right after a SEA vs. NO thread. Seems like Hawks fans always wannabe startin' somethin'. What gives?

What gives? Look at all the cap SF fans are trying to start. Like that guy on Facebook saying that San Francisco fans will kick the #### out of any hawks fans at the game... how do we respond? By telling our fans to stay classy, and don't start ####... but be ready to defend yourself if need be. Sf fans are proving more and more that they are a classless bunch...

Seems like the SP has been dominated by Hawk threads and their fans lately. You have this thread, the SEA vs. DEN SB thread, the Harvin thread, the Wilson thread all on the first page today, and not counting how many others will be bumped, like the SEA vs. NO from last week.

SEA fans sure keep themselves busy here.

There is only one thing worse than a blind homer - The year the blind homer is right...

Some Hawks fans have been saying the same garbage since Shaun Alexander was a first round fantasy pick. Yes, your team is very good, but every time I long on here I don't need to see a Seattle vs X thread, or a Richard Sherman thread, a Seattle is now 9-1, or Seattle secondary thread.

I get it, your team is good... Just because it rains in the Seattle 97% of the time, doesn't mean you just have to start and bump Seattle vs Jax threads all day long.

This game against SF is a rivalry game, but has very little impact on the NFC Playoffs - The Seahawks need to win 2 of their last 4, & the Niners are positioned to be a 5 or 6 seed. That is about all this game brings. Good to know your obnoxious fan base is flying a banner over SF for this game that has little impact on the standings, wouldn't expect less.

I am sure getting a kick out of all the butthurt Sf fans, they can't win so they try to #### all over hawk fans on a forum... Reminds me of the junior high bully... Name calling and personal attacks because he feels inferior.

And what kind of fan needs a letter telling them how to cheer for their team? only a bad one...
Yeah, they should put a decibel meter in the new stadium.
Why? You want proof Hawks fans are louder?
I'm thinking more for the PA engineers. The new stadium in Santa Clara will probably hold more events than football games. To do that you need proper or at least workable acoustics.

There is a lot of conflict in your post.

Don't give those scrubs credit. I keep them bumped.

Don't kid yourself. A loss for the niners and you risk not making the playoffs.

Are you writing this from the far away galaxy Melmac? They have Bucs, Falcons, Cardinals after this game - I suspect they'll win 3 out of 4, but even 10-6 gets them in... It is one thing to be a blind homer in reference to your own team, it is another to post irrational stupidity about other teams.

Maybe I can let you in on one of Seattle's dirty secrets now: Seattle's Best is owned by Starbucks.

To me this game has striking similarity to last year's game in Seattle with the roles reversed. I don't expect Seattle to be blown out as the niners were but a SF victory in a hard hitting close game wouldn't shock me. Seattle can afford to lose this game much more than the niners.

Good luck. I would love to beat the 49ers 3 times in one season.

Out of all of the Seahawk fans, at times I feel like I am the Debbie Downer of the group. This week is no different. Here is a stat that scares the crap out of me. Seattle has not won in SF since October 26, 2008. In addition you have Seahawk fans going out of their way to piss off opposing fans.

http://mynorthwest.com/11/2407294/12th-Man-flag-to-fly-high-above-San-Francisco-Sunday

The 12th Man will be well represented high above San Francisco Sunday when the Seahawks take on the 49ers at Candlestick Park, thanks to some industrious fans who've raised enough money to fly a banner from a plane before the game.

"There's a lot of us that can't make that game and we wanted to have our presence felt," says lifelong Hawks fan Cedric Morris.

Morris says he and another friend launched an online fundraiser to come up with the $1,300 it would cost to hire a plane to tow their banner for about 30 minutes before the game against Seattle's archrival. The huge banner reads "Go Hawks-12."

Morris hopes the banner gets a big rise out of the San Francisco fans.

"Well, they're not going to like it, that's for sure," he laughs.

The banner is timed to fly over as the teams warm up for the game. Morris thinks it'll help pump up the Hawks, and he'd be glad if it bothered at least a few of the 49ers.

"We're going to get a little mental thing with the Niners. Try to beat them before the game even starts."

The banner likely won't get any live TV coverage since it'll fly before the broadcast begins, but Morris says the Associated Press and some Bay Area TV stations plan to cover it.

The campaign has proven so popular, it's raised 141 percent of its goal. So Morris plans to donate 20 percent of the money raised to The Wounded Warrior Project.

"We're the 12th Man. We're the greatest fans on earth," he says of the effort.
Pretty much, IMO at least, the equivalent of college teams stealing each others' mascot or painting the big letter on the mountain or statue.

Not that it matters. Niners and their fans don't even think twice about the Seahawks. Just a ho-hum nothing of a game against a faceless team and fan base. Definitely not anything to chant after a win on national television against an unrelated team.
What happened to that Ram fan troll who said the Rams were a playoff team this year? You and he accounted for 2/3 of the posts of the last SEA/SF thread  Wasn't he buddies with Your Scientist?

I don't see the Niners can hope to compete with the 'Hawks right now. Give Crabs a few more weeks to get the rust off, a healthy Iupati, Reid not babying his shoulder, and maybe we can give this juggernaut a game. In SF maybe. But not now. Hawks are playing good ball and like all good teams the ball is bouncing their way (like off the helmet for a TD  ). Seattle by 2 TDs.

Thats it, good call dude.

Maybe he changed teams and came back as Shawn :hophead:

One interesting tactic which I can see Pete Carroll using if they get behind, is the all vanilla approach. Basically coaches have done this for years when they think they'll likely see the other team in the playoffs, and the regular season game means less than it should. Run all base formations on offense, but at the very least, run nothing you would consider an advantage you had in a must-win game. There is no way I'd play Harvin, there is no way I'd run any play or series of plays targeting a specific 49ers weakness. Play straight-up, hop to come out the other side with a win.

I agree with Mad Sweeney that this game is important, and Seattle needs to show up to play. BUt on the flip side, I would show the 49ers nothing. I think it's almost a certainty they see each other again in January.
Many people say this, and I don't get it. SF has lost to NO, CAR, and SEA in the NFC. Their latest victories have been uninspiring to say the least. SF gets in they could easily get bounced in the first round, they're not that good right now and it will be an away game.

To be fair, I went to post in the SF thread yesterday for some good football discussion. This game intrigues me because of the fact Seattle hasn't won in Candlestick in years. Nobody had posted in the SF thread since 11/26. I assumed you fair weather fans didn't care so I started my own thread.

*drummer is not a fair weather fan.

You should take a look at who's starting the threads before you throw them out as Seattle fan creations.

Is this legit? Sounds like a line from a Raider fan. Is there some kind of crossover, or just Bay Area brashness to advertise your threats of violence?

Look at who starts the threads. Nearly half of them are non Seattle fans.

 This is something a that would happen during a rivalry game in college. But I guess good rivalries don't belong in the NFL?

It's easy to see however that a 49er fan would get annoyed by it. 49ers fans are annoyed by anything relating Seahawks these days, and who could blame you?

I hate defending him but there's nothing irrational or stupid about it. The Falcons played the Saints tough two weeks ago and the game vs the Cards is essentially a two point game. A slump like the Niners had a few weeks ago, and losing two OL can contribute to that, could very likely RISK (as he said) SF missing the playoffs.

Good luck. I would love to beat the 49ers 3 times in one season.
What position do you play?
What in the context of anything ever written on this board has ever hinted at or slightly implied the possibility that someone using personal pronouns, a common affectation when being emotionally involved with an outside organization, actually is trying to mean that thru play got the team? Unless you're congenitally stupid, there's nothing to suggest that's what is meant in the context of the statements. But hey, what an otherwise snappy comeback!!!

12th man!
Then how are you going to win 3 games if only two are in Seattle? Logistics appear difficult.
Perhaps you haven't noticed the turnout of fans at away games. The AZ game in particular boasted a large number who even stayed behind for the NFLN after show. Deion I believe said they'd never had that many fans for any of their broadcasts, and Seattle was the away team. Look, he talks tons of ####. There's plenty to dl him on. But when you do, at least be right. It isn't hard.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that SF has more fans then SEA in SF this week.

Some Hawks fans have been saying ...
No, they haven't. One specific Seattle fan that posts here is an insufferable doosh. They rest of us are fairly reasonable when it comes to evaluating our home team.
Funny, I would argue there is a group of Seahawk fans here that ##### foot around these forums constantly acting passive agressive towards everyone, even their own fan base........I think its pathetic.

I will say the same for the 49ers as I am predicting between the Saints and Panthers, These teams are all too good to get swept within their division. Its the 49ers turn at victory.

There will be more Seahawk fans at Candlestick than 49er fans... Noted, genius.

That's a great counter to a claim that wasn't made. Any other imaginary arguments you want to try and disprove?

Please point to where I said anything about outnumbering home fans at the game. Another Professor Smartypants, beating arguments that aren't being made.

His response was an implication that there would a '12th man' in SF. SO yes, he did make that claim. Previous poster said it would be hard for YOU (as the 12th man) to win 3 games vs san fran this year since only 2 are in seattle and he responded with the notion that seattle fans travel well. If anyone made an imaginary argument reply, it was him.

So what argument were you making? He said that the 12th man wouldn't be on the road, to which you responded "perhaps you haven't noticed the turnout at away games". I think you're the one making up arguments here.
