It was definitely hard to pull the trigger on that. Carlos Gonzalez is my favorite real-life player who doesn't play for the Astros or Rangers...and one of my favorites in fantasy as well. But I just couldn't pass up Holliday. He's only 30, in the prime of his career, and is historically strong in August-September. I still may not have done that trade straight up. But with my issues at catcher (I think I've used 8 different guys this year), getting a guy who produces like an OF in McCann, I felt I had to take it. I've always loved the potential of Young and drafted him probably 3 rounds too early just to get him in this league, so seeing him having a career year is nice. But I think he's playing way over his head right now. He still won't take a walk and has a ridiculously high average with RISP.Still, if Arencibia had been recalled 2 weeks ago instead of today, I may not have made this deal. This trade has the potential to backfire on me bigtime (CarGon went yard twice tonight!!), but in the running for some $$, I felt I had to take the chance.
