Severe weather outbreak expected tomorrow Chicago/Cinci Concern (1 Viewer)

Pittsburgh's looking that bad, too? I have Reggie Bush and Antonio Brown...should I bench Brown for Keenan Allen?

Also live in Chicago, by the way. Things don't look bad yet. But you can tell something's coming. Sky has that dark/hazy look to it you usually don't see in November.
Is Brown your flex? My question is what other receivers are you going with outside of these two where Allen is that big of a luxury start. Need more info and folks are going to scream Asst Coach Forum, do as you like.
Wes Welker, Antonio Brown, Keenan Allen, Riley Cooper. Trying to decide on three.

Weather issues always have me changing my mind countless times. Earlier in the year, I benched guys playing in London when I shouldn't have, and that keeps lurking in the back of my head.

I'm 8-2 and facing the other 8-2 team to be alone in first place. Now I have to debate whether I should start Gordon with the weather issues or Start Dobson vs. Carolina monday. Can't fantasy football ever be easy?
Why is Dobson a bad option with a 1st ballot HoF QB throwing him the ball? He had 30 frock's points 2 weeks ago before the bye…BB is still the HC and Pats are coming off the bye.

I'm not gonna tell you who to start but have you weighed all that 1st before the severe weather report?

wow--I normally don't put much emphasis on weather conditions--but for some reason-- it's pretty concerning to me this week. I'm normally a big fan of never sitting studs--but I'm really torn now between keeping antonio brown in as my flex or swapping him out for ben tate (non ppr). Seems to me like antonio catches a lot of short and intermediate passes--so am I thinking too hard over this? My apologies to the shark pool if this seems like an assistant coach forum posting. If any sharks want to reply but not mention my players specifically---I guess the question is: based on what we know about the weather that is forecasted for the pitt game---how much do you adjust your projections of how the players will perform?

Flip a coin between the other 2. Cooper has cashed in big on low targets, reminds me of Eddie Royal weeks 1 and 2.

I was debating it but leaning towards Gordon just because I have more faith in him in normal weather conditions....I don't think I fully trust Dobson with first place on the line but it seems like I might not have another choice.

MOP....from what local reports say, they are considering delaying it regardless....but that's just speculation. Cancellation has even been discussed. There is a high wind warning outside of this tornado watch.

Cancellation? You mean the game is played on Monday, right?

We are talking Chicago here? Cinci seems like they might be able to get the game in.

Who's reporting this? The Bears Tweeted out a little bit ago that there are no plans to delay the start of the game.

I have Big Ben as a starter since Romo is on a bye

Since he's goign to be playing in a typhoon. Should I drop him for:

Alex Smith @ DEN

Tannehill vs SD

Glennon vs ATL

I have an absolute embarrassment of riches at WR in one league (Marshall, Cruz, Gordon, Jeffry, Amendola, Harvin) and usually only start two weekly. My friend and I are thinking quite hard about benching Marshall right now.

I swear 99% of the time in the 15+ years I have been doing FF when they talk about horrible weather for days I turn on DirecTV at kickoff and say - WTF are they talking about? Torrential downpours turn into a few sprinkles, hurricane like winds turn into maybe 1 club difference if you were playing golf. Not saying today will be the same, but already hearing whispers that the Cincy weather will be bad after the game, Pittsburgh showers may be light with normal winds, etc. I have been burned so many times making changes due to projected weather that never panned out. Just sayin...100% accuracy that the weather will occur THAT day, but during a 3 hour window within a game anything can happen. Storm doesn't come through as quickly as anticipated and happens after the game, or vice versa. Let's hope that's the case today. Only certainty seems to be Chicago for winds.

What are guys' experience with weather delay or cancellation in regard to how it effects fantasy scoring? Let's say they start a game and then a tornado warning kicks in at half time and they postpone the game or cancel? You just take zeroes on your guys?

I'm in the same boat

If I bench Brown for Allen I would still have Decker available tonight

Wow, this weather is crazy. Who should I start in PPR, Frank Gore or Eddie Lacy?
:lmao:
I didn't realize it was a requirement to be a tool and post snarky comments to be a long standing member of the Shark Pool. This entire thread is about severe and potentially dangerous weather this week and how it can possibly impact the fantasy world. This puts a lot of fantasy owners in a place to where they have to make a tough decision--and based on how many posts you guys have made--- I think it's safe to say that guys are probably fairly experienced fantasy owners. It's a shame that you choose to spend your time making snarky comments instead of possibly sharing some of your fantasy wisdom in a way that is remotely helpful. Believe it or not-- it's not a crime to help people. If you don't like some of the posts people make in this thread---here's an idea--just don't read them and only post positive comments on the ones you do care about.

I live 50 miles due west of Soldier Field. The storm is starting to hit pretty hard here. If moving about 60 mph it will hit Soldier field around 12:20ish

ESPN just went to Soldier Field. Rain or not, that wind is no joke. The flags were stiff and you could see a steady, driving wind gusting right through the shirts the players were wearing in warmups. If anyone has a recent update from Cincy, that would be nice.

wtf crawled up ypur ###? The guy made a funny post and several off us laughed

The plot thickens...

@TWCBreaking "Large and extremely dangerous #tornado" confirmed near Washington, IL (just E of Peoria) moving NE at 55mph.. Peoria is about 120 miles (as the crow flies) basically exactly South West of Chicago. In other words, this tornado moving in the direction it's moving is roughly 2 hours away from heading right to Chicago. BUT, weather and storms don't always

continue moving in the same direction. Or continue moving at all. Just be aware.

exactly. i might be a little concerned about very windy/ rainy conditions like chicago, but the other games i doubt are impacted to make any drastic changes. if i were on the fence about 2 guys it might sway me in one direction, but i'm not sitting Antonio Brown for an inferior player.

Same situation but I could roll with Larry Fitz in flex and have gore and Charles as RB. FML.

Local Chicago media reporting chatter about delayed kickoff.

ETA: never mind that. Kickoff still @ noon.
