replaced Branch with Fitz....i'm staying with Hackett though....situations like this seem to favor faster guys on offense and I wouldn't be shocked to still see him get a score or two. Mason isn't a much better option really.
feeling pretty good about this so far!!

Ok, Shick! answer this.Hacket is showing a lot here. Granted it's the 49ers, but he has skills. That gives them 4 WR's options. Are they keeping all 4 next year?
check their contract status's ...that will likely answer your question

Just wanted to point out that God is responsible for all of Hackett's catches.

(In case you didn't notice.)

2-1-SF 36 (10:46) F.Gore up the middle to SF 36 for no gain (B.Fisher, G.Wistrom).

3-1-SF 36 (10:00) F.Gore up the middle to SF 36 for no gain (C.Darby, B.Fisher).

4-1-SF 36 (9:09) A.Lee punts

OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2nd and one, you run the ball twice and neither time is behind Larry Allen.

Instead you run up the middle behind your backup center

I've noticed Shaun has many runs for negative yards.. vs SF. So far, he's unimpressive... he just rolls with an o-line that pushes everyone back. Clear separation between him and LT, the more I see both the last couple years.

Frankly, I don't think he's an elite RB. he's benefited greatly from the best Oline in football the last few years...losing the best part of that has showed. He's good, but not great.

now I know why indy didn't resign edge. you have to keep them hungry. do you guys think larry johnson's line is any better then seattle's?

I picked up Hackett right before the game just to stash him on my roster. I started Furrey instead. I am truly impressed with Hackett. He is a solid possession receiver. At least I kept my opponents from picking him up.

I think SA is a good running back, he just needs motivation. last year his contract was that motivation.

Collinsworth has a good point about Ks for RBs over 30, but I favor the players in that sitch - they should be rewarded for their past service if they did it under Ks that were favorable to the team (ala SA).

concur... I'll put him in the Top 10... I take a player in question.... stick him on Arizona and ask how good he she woudl be. LT would be still somewhat LT (save the scoring). Thusly... stick Frank Gore on SD or SEA '05.... 1,900 total yards and 16 TDs no prob.

I'd have to agree with this. He's a top tier RB but not in the best of the best. The loss of Hutchinson clearly affected his abilities as a runner. The big knock on him has always been his #####-footing at the line. He doesn't hit holes with any kind of power.

Ummmmmmmm.... Seattle????

In case you didn't notice... you are at home. The weather isn't that bad... and you are playing the 49ers.

It's 7-3 mid-way thru the 3rd, and you just punted.

Congrats on the NFC West... you'll get demolished in the playoffs. Feel free to schedule some vacation time circa mid-January.

No, but maybe you can. You seem the pointless type.

I disagree that SA doesn't hit holes with power.I agree that he is a top-tier back, but is not an all-world talent.

I hate Thursday football. If your guy does bad you gotta go 3 days thinking your gonna lose. If you guy does good anything can still happen with the other guys team
