That last scoring drive is a example of why you don't go for it on 4th down when your in field goal range.
When a team fails the 4th down convershion and doesen't get points it really deflates the whole team. Being frustrated and disapointed causes players to doubt themselves and/or thier teams ability to win.
If Seattle just took the FG I don't think the defense would have given up so much rushing yards to Gore on the next drive.

He is very quick, very strong, has great burst, great vision, but he's not a fast runner in the open field. He's broken many long runs over the course of the year and been caught from behind by players with average speed. It's just not his thing.

Gumbel is horrible and spouts out a lot of wrong information. I love Frank Gore - he might have saved my fantasy season in the last 5 minutes of that game.
