I love Shannon's Candor and straight-forwardness. And I agree that Belichick should just do the interview, just because it is kind of a norm expected event after a game. But with that being said, I don't think Belichick deserves to be blasted. After the game, he had a long moment with Harbaugh and they obviously had some good discussion there. That's the most he can give to the people that matter. Anything he says in a presser is just the same old thing every coach says...all the cliches and chatter that just occupies time for those of us in the peanut gallery.Jim Harbaugh didn't give an interview after he lost last year to Bradshaw. He was consistent and didn't give one to him this year either. So, if its ok for one, then to me it is ok for the others. This is a BIG moment and there is a lot of emotion going on. If the coach, in their opinion, isn't adding anything to the moment, then maybe (not sure, but just thinking) it is ok to say "Just go on and talk to the people that have things to say...I don't."As far as people wondering if Belichick has lost it or is bitter or can't win the big games anymore. NFL coaching is amazingly stressful. You don't see many guys last 12+ years like he has in one spot. And to say "he has lost all these big games" tells you something you might not be focussing on: HE IS GETTING HIS TEAM TO THE BIG GAMES EVERY YEAR. What's the old saying? Better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all. Plus, its not like he is a failure. He has 3 championships and has played for more. No One wins EVERY year.I'm willing to bet that if he became a free agent tomorrow, there would be about 28 teams that couldn't jettison their HC quick enough to make room for him if he would come to them so that tells me all I need to know. He is a great coach, he is a respected coach among his peers, and usually when you are VERY good, you are polarizing; people love you or hate you and we clearly see that in Belichick.
