Shark Pool collective mock draft - complete. And any one of us are better than Ryan Pace! (1 Viewer)

With the 4th pick of the second round the NYG select A.J. Epenesa EDGE

I'll be honest and state that I do not know what defensive scheme the Giants' new staff will be running but I do know they need impact defensive players and with Simmons and Epenesa they added two potential ones.

Biggest steal of the draft in my opinion so far. Very much thought about trading up for him. If I'd stayed at 27 with Seattle, he was the pick there.

I do wonder if he'll end up kicking to DT, I mean, not for the Giants as they already have plenty, but if he were to go elsewhere.

2.07 Carolina Panthers select Ross Blacklock DT TCU

Scheme diverse DT with size and athleticism to be building block for the defense moving forward

2.08 The Miami Dolphins select Laviska Shenault Jr, WR, Colorado

I know he has injury concerns but this is an elite talent. The opportunity to select a WR with his upside to either pair with or provide an insurance policy for Parker and the unicorn was too much to pass up.

1.06 Jedrick Wills OT

1.18 Jordan Love QB

1.26 Grant Delpit, S

2.08 Laviska Shenault Jr, WR

The Falcons are interested trading up. We'll give up a day 3 pick to trade up from 47 (which day 3 pick depends on how far up we're trading).

At 40 the Houston Texans select Michael Pittman, Jr. - WR - USC

I did this because Fuller and Stills aren't the answer and are oft-injured. Houston's other glaring need will be addressed later in the round.

Really like these last 2 picks. Shenault is the highest ceiling WR in the draft in my opinion. He's the best RAC threat, and also can return kicks. He'd have been a good pick at 26 in my opinion.

After debating some trades both up, or for current players, Tampa Bay stays put and selects:

Jordan Elliott-DL Missouri

I gave some thought to Kinlaw in round 1, but couldn't pass on Ruggs. One could argue, I may have been better off taking Kinlaw in round 1, and taking Jalen Reagor here, but I think the drop off might be bigger at WR than at DL.

In a conference that had both Kinlaw and Derrick Brown, Elliott was arguably better than either of them last year. The reason he is not as hyped(and still available) is due to being a bit of a 1 year wonder. He has superior athleticism to Brown, and is more technically sound than Kinlaw. That said, Brown is more NFL ready, and Kinlaw has far more upside.

Alas, Elliott is a high quality prospect that is being slept on in many circles. He's mocked anywhere from late round 1 to early round 4 in some cases. I think adding him to a front of Barrett, Vea, and JPP, with David and White behind them creates a very strong, very athletic front 6.

Lots of sad emojis in this thread recently.

5 rings sorry you didnt like my picks for the 49ers. I did my best. I tried to recruit a 49er fan for the job.

My sad emojis were just because they don't have an anger emoji react. Would've gone with something like this if I could. 😣

The Falcons could really use an edge rusher like Baun or another disruptive DT like Elliott to play alongside Grady Jarrett & Dante Fowler.

Exactly. My sad emojis in these things are never meant to indicate a bad pick - quite the opposite. Took a player I wanted 😭

2.46 - Denver - Jalen Reagor WR TCU

Lots of directions they could go here but while the WR position is still pretty deep here, the combo of speed and other abilities puts Reagor at the top. Going to have to pick and pray on offensive linemen later.

@ZWK up for Atlanta

I know this is a strong WR class and I do expect that a lot will go early but 9 already before we even get 10 picks into Round 2?

Good morning from the west coast.

47    Atlanta Falcons - Ashtyn Davis S California

With my favorite pass rushers off the board over the past few picks, I'll use another pick on the secondary. Davis brings great speed (and elite high-hurdling skills) as a single high safety. Safety is a less pressing need with Allen, Neal, and Kazee all playing at least adequately, but with the first 2 of those guys struggling with injuries and the last 2 in the final year of their contract, it seems worth trying to bring some talent in right now.
