Shark Pool collective mock draft - complete. And any one of us are better than Ryan Pace! (1 Viewer)

With the 48th pick in the draft the NYJ select Brandon Aiyuk - WR, Arizona State

It's a WR party in the Sharkpool draft!!!!  :pickle:

If 9 WRs were really gone at this point and I was the actual Jets GM I may consider going in a different direction, but I think the Jets will target a WR with their second pick and want to reflect that here.

With the 49th pick the Pittsburgh Steelers select Johnathan Taylor, RB, Wisconsin

Changed my pick from Kmet and still really wanted the player I won't name who might not be a scheme fit but will go in this direction. I seem to be only team picking RB's but I think second round RB's locked up on pay for about $1M a year for 4 years is the way to go. Conner has durability issues, in last year of deal and this team is in win now mode and Taylor can help.

With the 49th pick the Pittsburgh Steelers select Cole Kmet, TE, Notre Dame.

Really hard call here, really an unexpected embarrassment of riches that fit some team needs. In real world I'd have burned up the phone lines trying to move back. But in this world I'll address a major team need.  I won't discuss names of players not drafted, but had two players I badly wanted to take. One whose scheme fit is questionable but I still think he'd have made some sense.
They just signed Eric Ebron.

I almost took Jonathan Taylor for the Broncos. Glad I didn't since they just signed Gordon.
I considered Taylor with my Chargers pick earlier. Got the Wisconsin angle and all but could argue he was better pairing with Ekeler, provide more of a power dimension. In the end I decided to stay true to my board, which has Swift higher, and I think the Ekeler/Swift pairing can offer a lot of versatility and looks that are less predictable.

2.19(51): Jeremy Chinn S Southern Illinois

I was leaning Kmet, but my other target was Chinn. Dallas did sign Ha Ha Clinton-Dix to a 1-year deal, but it gives Chinn time to develop. Plus, Ha Ha could conceivably move to FS to compete with Xavier Woods. You can never have enough good DBs.

Chinn might end up being the biggest riser of all this year. His Senior Bowl performance as well as blowing up the Combine put him on the map. Many teams have him in the late 1st/early 2nd right now. I kinda doubt he’ll be on the board here in the NFL draft, but we’ll see.

The LA Rams officially trade pick 52 to the Denver Broncos in exchange for picks 77 & 83.

2.52 - Denver Broncos - Ezra Cleveland OT Boise St

Cleveland is a fast riser in the pre-draft process. Denver has seen enough of Bolles.

Thats cool. The Vikings have CJ Ham.

With pick 2.53 the Philadelphia Eagles select Neville Gallimore, DT, Oklahoma

The fortification of the defense continues.

Rd 2 Buffalo Bills select JK Dobbins RB from Ohio State

While Singletary played well last year, I don't see him as a workhorse RB. For a team that wants to play defense and win conservative games, they will need some more fire power in the backfield. The 1-2 punch of Dobbins and Singletary should pack the punch the Bills need.

With pick 2.56 the Miami Dolphins select Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB, LSU

One of my favorite players in this draft. He will pair nicely with Jordan Howard as a threat in the passing game out of the backfield.

1.06 Jedrick Wills OT

1.18 Jordan Love, QB

1.26 Grant Delpit, S

2.39 Laviska Shenault, WR

2.56 Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB

With the 57th pick, Houston selects Bryce Hall - CB  - VA

Hall is the best player left on the board at this point for CB, and fills a major Houston need.

With the 58th pick the Vikings select Justin Madubuike DT  Texas A&M.

@travdogg for the Seahawks.

So now the Vikings have

1.22 Josh Jones OT Houston

1.25 Yetur Akkub Gross Matos DE Penn State

2.58 Justin Madubuike DT  Texas A&M.

I really like how this draft has fallen. There are still some 1st round caliber guys on the board in my opinion. With that in mind, with the 59th pick the Seattle Seahawks select:

Curtis Weaver DL Boise St

Basically smaller school Chase Young as far as his dominance the last 2 years. I think he's a much better prospect than Gross-Matos, and Chaisson whom are both pretty big projections based on what they could do if they learn a ton of moves and technique. Weaver meanwhile should hit the ground running, he wins more with power than speed, but he isn't some lumbering slowpoke by any means, He's not all that different than Epenesa, only a bit smaller.

Adding Weaver to Kinlaw should help in trying restore the Seahawks d-line to its former glory. If Collier(who I thought was a slight reach a year ago) can live up to his draft position this line could develop into a fearsome young unit pretty quickly.

Nice pick.

He seems to be forgotten due to the injury I guess?
Lack of pure speed too. He's more of a cover 2 or cover 3 CB, rather than a guy who can play man, so he'll likely be ranked wildly different on teams boards based on what they play.

At 57, I'd agree he's a decent value.

Well the feedback I got from 49ers after selecting Wirfs with pick 13 was that they should have selected a defensive linemen.

So I will fix that here. The 49ers select K'Lavon Chaisson DE LSU.
Good job. Keep building those lines. Big uglies always welcome.

I think that the ravens need to keep this pick for this year to keep building around lamar before he dies.

we need another edge rusher and I would say that the most intriguing one left on the board is

60. Terrell Lewis - Edge - Alabama

i mean, pretty good things have happened when we have drafted defensive players named Terrell or Lewis before...

Although I think it's far more likely that he's gone by this pick, or that Green Bay takes him if he does fall this far, the Titans do need a backup QB. Despite giving tannehill a decent contract, we'll take an insurance policy we can coach up for the next couple years if Ryan does continue to succeed.

2.61, the Tennessee Titans select Jalen Hurts, QB Oklahoma

If nothing else, backup QBs are important and he can be a Taysom Hill type player for the next year or two.

@Alex P Keaton otc
