I went back and forth on Henry and Jacobs. In the end age and O line made my decision. That grouping of wrs just isn't it for me in the 2nd.

That's about where Jacobs went in my FBG Bowl. Just weeks ago I was scooping him up in the late fourth with Mahomes still on the board. Probably one of the biggest risers this pre-season on minimal news.

Seen Henry go close to the 1/2 turn. Seems like most around here like him more than Barkley, but Barkley always seems to get drafted first.

I don't mix fantasy with fandom. AJ Brown was kind of an easy choice in the 1st for me, but for the most part I very rarely draft Eagles.

I haven't been able to pull it off, but I've seen it possible....Brown/Barkely/Smith/Hurts. I'd been perfectly fine rolling that lineup out weekly with a 5th rd RB, Kittle/Pitts in the 6th and a 7th rd WR.

True... but if no QB's go before round 4, then it turns out to be not as nice. I do think Mahomes is going to have a huge year though and end QB1

This year I have Mahomes in his own tier in terms of extreme upside and (health permitting) very high floor. I wanted to build my team around that - especially considering this socring format with not only 6 pts per TD, but also juiced for passing yards (5 per 100, instead of the more typical 4). Based on that scoring, I predict the elite QBs will prove themselves more valuable than traditional VBD thinking would have them, especially when you also account for weekly scoring variance + bust and injury risk, which standard VBD models ignore.

TL;DR - wherever you are able to get one, elite QBs have more value than most think. Who knows when the run will start, but once it does, it should have legs.

I like the Mahomes pick. In another one of these I took him early, not quite this early but 3.11, qb2, Allen off the board. The guy I really really wanted went at 3.10 and I was unhappy. So I took Mahomes and changed my plan. I gotta say that draft has been stress free with Patrick on board. If you wait at QB like I usually do; and if that includes a specific target, the QB runs are too unpredictable especially when you draft near a corner. Your guy just might not come back to you and you're constantly debating when to take him. With Mahomes on the team, I've had no trouble happily filling out the roster.

@LawFitz planted the seed. A couple QBs are going to go in the third now, just watch.

Having done the FBG Bowl, the best teams I saw were the ones who waited. Between starting most everyone on your roster and drafting 20 rounds deep into practice squad guys, there's not going to be much room to cover up over reaching for a QB.
