I thought for sure you were going RB.

Nope. Only 3 TE left I feel good about starting, and I am too afraid to not have one of them. Also no real RBs I like for a bit besides Monty... maybe I should have taken him.

2.01 Hurts
3.09 Allen
3.10 Mahomes

His ADP is 6.06-6.09. He went 6.08 in my other one of these, so I don't think 6.01 is a surprise at all.

My dream pick in rd 5 was Rice. After that it was Kittle or Conner, so I was glad to get one of them; and was hoping either Monty or Mostert would survive the turn and come back to me in 6. Can't say I'm sitting here high fiving my draft room, but things could definitely be worse right now 12-team swimming with you sharks.

This is literally my first non-super flex league, not taking a QB has been agonizing. I virtually always have two by now and am targeting my third as trade bait.

Sux but it is what it is when you're near the turn in a 12-teamer. Full Disclosure: I nearly took Rice at 4.3. Had Pittman not been there, I absolutely would have. And sure enough, as I projected, he did not fall to me in rd 5. :(

Still early and looking to see some of these strategies play out and be proven wrong.

Because of the 3 flex? Maybe at the RB/WR position, but you're still only starting 1 qb and te.

I'm not sure these are leagues where everyone will stay together, but I am really enjoying having a big portion of us in the league also chatting in here.

I think next year they should run like 5-10 $100 "shark pool only" leagues... maybe even have a staffer participate in each one. Thoughts @Joe Bryant ?

Or maybe to really get the smack talk going, FBG can secretly pair posters who have each other on ignore, in the same leagues lol.

We'll see how it goes, but IMO (and experience), 6 pt TDs + 12 team leagues + lower bust/injury risk + lowest weekly scoring variance makes elite QBs way more valuable than they are given credit, even in start one formats. That said, you can definitely get one later in drafts - just gets harder and harder as the rounds go by, especially if a run happens while you are sitting at or near an end spot.
