Cool. He's here and can make the pick in a little bit. All I did was trade back.

Sorry about the delay guys. Looks like you traded the pick for me. That's fine by me. Have been busy. Will try to make these other picks.

With the 78th pick the Baltimore Ravens select Carlos Hyde

I know Ozzie Newsome and the Ravens are saying they are going to stand behind Rice after his incident but lets see how the NFL sees things and add in the fact he was AWFUL last year!

Hyde brings a power running game to a team build for power running. If something did happen to Rice's availability this year Pierce and Hyde would still be a strong option.

Also, Rice has a lot of miles on him going back to college. Hyde could be his eventual replacement even if he does dodge suspension.

Like I stated with Baltimore's first pick. This team needs to start running the ball again. Hyde would be pretty good value this late in the third round.

Good player, but do the Titans need to double up on CBs when they have McCourty and former 3rd rounder Blidi Wreh-Wilson?
Yes. The first CB I took was more of a safety/nickel player. Also, it's by far the biggest need and most teams need a solid nickel corner. I like that Joyner can move around the secondary but if he ends up being a nickel hybrid then I don't want to put all eggs into the Wreh-Wilson basket to be my #2.

My OL should hold up for another season, I can find a RB later in the draft, WRs are not good but good enough right now and I might be able to steal a gem sometime in the last 4 rounds.

Defensively, losing Verner hurts really bad. If I had drafted a one of the top tier corners I wouldn't have drafted another until the fifth or later and only if one fell to me. Breeland, Joyner and Robinson (#48 to the Ravens) were the 3 that I was thinking about taking at #42 so, when Breeland was still there at #77 I felt like I had to take him. With Ray Horton coming in after failing in Cleveland I am expecting him to put together a defence based on his players strengths not just switch to "his" 3-4 defence. Joyner as nickel/safety rover gives him options for getting creative. I see him running lots of 3-3 nickel with Pollard (or Griffin) sliding in and out of blitz/linebacker looks. This requires one of the other young corners stepping up and earning a spot as the #2 corner. Every other team in this division now has a solid WR tandem (Wayne/Hilton, Johnson/Hopkins, Blackmon/**Watkins**) so I think don't think the Titans can undervalue their #2 corner and more so because they don't have one now.

It is a fair criticism though based on the lack of studs, at every position, this team has but since I missed out on the elite corners I have to hope at the bare minimum one of the young corners can develop into at least a solid starter by the end of preseason.

Pick 79 - St. L Keith McGill, CB - Utah

Depth a CB is always a must and McCgill is my top rated player available.

Wow, very suprised by how clean some of the positions have been picked. With that, there's a bit of WR talent surprisingly still on the board for the Bills here. I have my choice of taller guys like Martavis Bryant or Donte Moncrief, and shorter guys like Paul Richardson and Dri Archer. So with that in mind, I'll take the guy who represents the best combination of traits - although he's 3 inches shorter than Mike Evans I feel like getting him 2 rounds later was worth the 3" of height. So with the 3.73 pick of the draft, the Buffalo Bills select:

WR Donte Moncrief, Ole Miss.
Moncrief was the guy I considered taking for the 49ers instead of Brooks. Should go higher than this.
To be honest I considered him with Steelers pick -- ended up going with Jordan Matthews.

I'm game for another round. It will be interesting to see who is available in the 4th round.
:goodposting:
Yep. I'll get crazy and do all 7. This is by far more informative and honest than following rumours and mock drafts that are trying to be different just so they get views.
Agree completely regarding the insight gained about later picks from this exercise
I'd totally do an entire draft.

Was targeting Hyde, but have no problem picking up the best RB with the ball in his hands when handed off directly from the QB in the draft here.
fyp
Does pretty well catching kicks too. But, I just love the way Mason runs the ball.

Nice enough to catch up with SF and SEA? If not that's 3 straight losing seasons for Jeff Fisher and co. And Fisher would only have 2 seanons over .500 in the last ten years. Last time he won a playoff game was 03-04'

Since I'm playing GM in this fantasy draft. It win or gone with this class. No excuses. Get it done or get out of the way!Edit to add, Bradford can have his walking papers if they don't have a winning season too.

I received this message from Deranged Hermit. "Coaching baseball. Someone needs to make the pick for me."

So if someone would like to make the Bears pick to keep the draft moving along.

Bradford should already have them.

Chicago Bears select Deone Bucannon, S

CB and S are needs not yet addressed. There will be better corners than safeties available next round.

Colts have a variety of needs - CB, FS, interior OL, pass rush. Trading down and still getting a player of SJB's caliber is great news. He's the last of the great CBs in this draft imo.

Best safety in the draft. Way better athlete and performer than Ha Ha. Better than Pryor as well. And he hits hard as hell. This would have been my pick for the Eagles *sigh*. I think he goes 1st round in the draft

Most project him as a safety. He'll be a great safety in the right scheme but I don't see him as a great CB option in this draft, imo.
