Shark Pool mock draft - three rounds. Draft started (2 Viewers)

With all the good WRs gone, I will listen to offers for Chris McFoy. I'm looking for a mid-second round pick this year, or a first next year.

Five minutes.Well, Beto seems to have logged off. I think this is a pretty easy pick even if they do sign Al Wilson...2.14 Detroit - Curtis Lofton ILB Oklahoma Will fit great into the tampa2 defense they run and this draft is shaping up nicely for the Lions fans.

2.15 Cincinnati Bengals select:

Fred Davis, TE, USC :bag:

I know we need defense, but I couldn't pass on a new toy for Carson.

With the 44th pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys select:Mario Manningham WR MichiganManningham is the top rated WR on several boards and is exceptional value at 44. The dropoff in talent after him is substantial. He fills the need for a deep threat on the Cowboy roster and has the potential to develop into a #1 receiver in time. Might also help in the return game.Dallas still has not addressed its primary need, corner. But that position has been so picked over to this point, value, again, is driving the selection to another direction. Both Manningham and Mendenhall fill secondary needs for the Cowboys.
steal

Let's add some flash and excitement to the Vikings.

Donnie Avery WR Houston

I think Sidney Rice can be a #1 guy and adding a splash of speed with Avery will help a lot.

Not getting Fred Davis really messed me up.

I'll probably be out until morning. I am scheduled to pick for Cleveland, but feel free to go ahead and pick if it gets to that point and others are waiting.

I'll eat a full copy of the Austin Yellow Pages if Chad Henn goes ahead of Woodson and Brohm.
What's your take on my Merling to TEN choice? Would you rather have seen Sweed, Manningham, Doucet, or Kelly go there? Or maybe a second-tier CB?

Crap. Sorry I missed my pick. Wouldn't have taken this guy.
Well then you have something in common with Matt Millen. :thumbup:PM me who you would have taken.

Would you like to trade for his rights? ;)
LOL at this sequence. As for the pick itself, I just don't see it happening - Marvin just does not emphasize the position given how many times we've passed it over before. -QG

Yes. Yes! We should have a "do over"!I sure wish Adarius Bowman hadn't had such a crappy Senior Bowl week.

I'll try to check in once tonight to make the PIT/TEN picks, but if I'm not on the clock when I pop in, it'll be tomorrow AM. Gotta take the old lady out for a burger tonight to make up for the fact that I'm spending Valentine's Day drunk off my ayshe at the Van Halen show.

I hate to do this since it makes it feel like I'm just doing a mock on my own here, but Deranged Hermit hasn't been around since 1:30 so....

Philadelphia selects:

DaJuan Morgan N.C. State

True, but I don't know if that'll cause the Vikes to pick Avery over Bowman. The combine might change perspective, but I would think that Bowman still grades higher on their board then Avery.Plus, I'm hoping that WR won't be a definitive need come draft day (please god let them trade for Walker or CJ)

Arizona selects Jamaal Charles RB Tex.

Looked at Chris Johnson (too small) and Ray Rice (too slow/similar to Edge) here but Charles' breakaway speed, latent pass catching skills, and physical frame make him the choice to complement Edge and hopefully grow (with some weight room work) into the full time back that Arrington will never be.

I think the advantage that Bowman could have is his run blocking ability. But Avery is really explosive. It would be a tough call. Fred Davis would have been ideal, and I couldn't bring myself to take a different TE.I would not want Walker or CJ. CJ's antics are fun to watch if they're done on someone else's team.
