My fiancee is in the building behind you (HULK). They're all under their desks, doors barricaded, waiting for updates. Local news only reporting a morning 911 call reporting one, and only one shot heard in tower. Stressing that everything is speculative at this time, and that large presence of local police (MoCo) in addition to military units, is precautionary more than anything else. Lots of presence, not much frantic activity like there would be if it was a drastic incident.

I'm pretty sure now that whatever that commotion I heard was was just the cops. Which pisses me off, cause they made such a racket I was actually fairly worried for a few minutes.

So, evacuation... I hear shouting in the hall, eventually figure out they're saying, "Montgomery County Police" so I walk over and poke my head above the cubicle wall. I see about ten cops armed in full swat gear bearing down on my door (it's glass IMO). One yells, "CONTACT! CONTACT!". I threw my hands up, and after they stopped pointing their rifles at me, I let them in, at which point they evacuated us.

So they've completed search of Building 1. Rockville Pike and Jones Bridge Road opened back up for normal traffic flow. Lockdown on base not lifted yet, but outside units (Montgomery County Police) have been given stand down orders.
