It’s because Physical reality is consistent with universal laws. Where the laws do not operate, there is no reality.

Parkways are called parkways because they're usually tree lined and intended to look like driving through a park (for everyone living outside New Jersey, at least).

Driveways are literally the way you drive on from the street into the garage. If there's no garage, it's not a driveway. You park in the garage. If you don't have a garage, it's just a carport slab, not a driveway.
