Sleeper Rookie WR's (1 Viewer)

Marvin Jones is a guy to watch in Cincy. Wouldn't be too surprising to see him beat out Sanu and Binns for the #2 WR spot. I guess he was pretty impressive in the first day of rookie mini-camp.
Sanu also had good reports, whoever wins this battle could make a fantasy impact.

What about Tommy Streeter in BAL? Refines his route running a bit, could post a few big catches and he's a physical specimen.

Deonte Thompson Florida: Better junior then senior season, but neither were all that great with Brantley chucking the rock. Guy has wheels though as some had him in the 4.2's at his pro day. Another one of those guys that could be a better NFL player than college. He seems to think he's gonna play in the league awhile
Deonte Thompson was a drop machine his whole career. Every pass was a 50/50 ball for him. I'm talking perfect in the bread-basket passes. Good athlete, made some plays, but completely unreliable.
I watched every single game of Thompson's career and this above post is exactly right. The guy just can't catch the ball. One of the biggest dissapointments in Florida football history not named Brock Berlin.
sure the QB situation didn't help things
+ MHT (Most Heads Turned): Deonte ThompsonThe undrafted free agent receiver from Florida emerged from the masses, exhibiting a ton of speed and nice hands. Flacco hooked up with him several times in the workouts open to the media. He gets the early nod as this year’s player most likely to follow in the footsteps of Jameel McClain and LaQuan Williams and earn a roster spot as a longshot.
http://www.csnbaltimore.com/blog/ravens-talk/post/Ravens-OTA-awards?blockID=720978&feedID=6703have to think it will be hard for him to crack that roster- Boldin, Torrey, Smith, Jacoby, Streeter, Doss, Laquan Williams.

amani toomer was just on sirius - nfl raving about Penn State Wr Derrick Moye, who the dolphins signed as udfa.

maybe that's more of a dynasty sleeper.

5 rookie free agents on the rise: No. 1 -- WR Beasleyby Nick Eatman, CBSSports.comThe foot injury to rookie WR Danny Coale (broken foot) and the lack of separation by some of the incumbent candidates has left the door wide open for other young WRs. Cole Beasley, a former SMU standout is taking advantage. While he stands just 5-8, Beasley is arguably one of the best route-runners on the team and constantly gets open.

yeah, we said he was shocked the guy went undrafted --- how he had incredible body control and great hands, etc, and I think he said the guy was considering coming out last year.

they were speculating that maybe the crap penn st qb situation hurt his stock.

edit: oops, should've paid more attention to what I was linking.

stats posted below

edit:

although he doesn't look too slow on the play about 55 seconds in

vs alabama in 2010

He was a very ordinary WR on a bad offense. He was not in the best of situations, but he didn't help the cause either. He might develop into a role player, but there's nothing in his profile or on field product outside of his height that offers room for optimism. Little explosion, not physical, rail thin, not a precise route runner, mediocre top end speed, mediocre separation skills, difficulty catching in traffic unless the ball is high pointed. I just can't see his upside as any more than a 4th or 5th WR unless he drastically improves in several areas.

here's his scout.com profile --- maybe a little skinny, and 40 time isn't great, if you're into that.

Those are high school measurements. This is where to go for Combine and Pro Day times: http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=71069&draftyear=2012&genpos=WR

Jarius Wright from Arkansas is my favorite sleeper prospect. He is a speed prospect with great return ability, and is for some reason over shadowed by Joe Adams who possesses similar talents, but Wright having higher upside in my eyes.
Wright last week:5 targets, 3 catches, 65 yards, 1 TD with Harvin out.

Grabbed him on waivers this week. He's wr4 in Miami this week in place of Gaffney. Sherman said he liked his game speed last week.
