Snowmageddon 2022 (2 Viewers)

No snow here in Michigan, I feel for you guys. I hope your power lives, or comes back quickly and your able to watch football Sunday.

I love the CNN reporters trying to make a story out of 3 inches of snow in certain areas

Reporter getting harassed by drunken Philly people throwing snowballs

Nothing yet in Cranston. Gonna bring my son to his soccer training at 8am down near the coast. When we leave there at 1pm my truck should have some snow on it I expect. Good times!

Some wind here, so hard to tell how much snow given the way it's drifting. Probably only 6-8 inches at this point.

Reporting in from 1 hour south of D.C. with around 13" with pretty bad winds but only light snow falling. No loss of power even with some sleet action last night.Getting ready for my 1st round of snowblowing if the wind ever lets up.

What are the NAMS and EUROS and all that crap showing now? Can a weathernerd post some of those colored pics???

Actually, Accuweather is my friend. Looks like the truly bad stuff/blizzard conditions won't hit NYC area till this afternoon. So the best is yet to come here...

We've gotten some pretty bad drifting, but I will say that I don't think the wind blew nearly as hard here as predicted. Seems like you guys nearer the coast are getting pummeled by wind, though.

Southwest PA. Has wide ranging snow totals. I have about 6inches in Washington, PA. but 20 to 30 miles east and south are in the teens.

Morning news is reporting that there are stranded drivers on the PA turnpike between the Somerset and Bedford exits

Seven Springs ski resort area has 20+ and they are calling for 10 more

The snow plows all push to the right side of the street, naturally the smarter people will try to find a spot on the left side. I got one last night, as I was getting out of my car, the guy in front of me left, I decided to take up both spots. Normally a very **** move, but to avoid damage to my car from someone parked close by trying to get out over a snow mountain, and the ease of getting out with more space, I think I get a pass on this move.

I'm in Canonsburg PA and about the same. :hifive:

How early is too early to use a leaf blower out there?
does this actually work? I've witnessed my hispanic-american friends who hang out at the train station doing this from time to time by I've never tried myself.

I've got a nice super duper Stihl blower. I am ready and willing to unleash a blizzard of snowy hell.

Total bust for central VA. Unless I just jinxed myself and the "wrap around" stuff comes in heavy today.

Heat is out. Electric is on. Good thing I bought wood. Both fireplaces are roaring. Now it's time to find out wtf is up with the heat.

Early gut feeling is the flue is obstructed. Last night i was thinking that with the fireplace lit near the thermostat, maybe I should raise the heat so the rest of the house gets heat. I wonder if the blizzard like snow blocked the flue and since the heater was barely on - the snow built up since no heat was melting it? :shrug;

Gas line broke down the street? Unlikely.

Checking the furnace- 3 blinking lights indicates fifty filter or some obstruction. Filter isn't old but I'll change it. Need to find the reset. I'm not a HVAC guy but know a (very) little.

Coffee is made and it sounds like the youngest is up so its game on. I found a Tim Tebow Jets jersey. I have no idea how or why I own it as I'm a Cowboys fan. Musta been a gag gift but I'll put it on for its +2 LUCK bonus. Boots and gloves have been by the fire and I'm layered up.

I'm gonna fire up the snowblower for the second time ever, first was the test so I'm all :excited: I'll look to see if the flue is covered by a snow drift or something.

If you don't have it already, probably missed a good chunk. I'm in central jersey and looking at probably a foot now.

Wind hitting pretty hard now in my area. Went out and shoveled/sprinkled the rock salt, and sort of not wondering why I bothered, as 20 minutes later it's all a mess again.

After breakfast I'm firing up the Jeep to go get out in it, find some excuse for an errand.

Stay inside, don't look for trouble.

Got at least a foot of snow overnight in south central PA. Still snowing hard. Wind howling! Classic Nor'easter!
