Snowmageddon 2022 (2 Viewers)

Since Tuesday my daughter has been suck in Orlando (was going to get out yesterday but canceled) trying to get to Raleigh, she might get home Friday. But the airline told her told that the flight was on time today, so she checked out of the hotel went airport. She got to the gate and no one was there. Had to find new hotel. Her company pays for it, not big deal.........took her a long time to find a room for two days, she knows she is not getting out tomorrow.

I live 22 mile from work in Raleigh, born and raised Pitt so I can drive well in snow. Wife called my work at 12pm and said come home now, I shrugged that off her being a southern girl because we(me and owner of company) were working on setting a new computer up. People were leaving work left and right and I was just thinking "oh well snow, no big deal". 30 minutes after my wife called the owner said we have to go, I was still wondering why, went to lunch at 11am, things were good. Not a big deal. Well shut things down. Owner asked me to drive him home, he had a bad car for snow and he lives on my way and we left.

I work on a service road, it is where the salt trucks from Raleigh go out. We are about a mile from the stop light. It was backed up past our business. Long story short it too me 2,5 hours to drop off owner, took me an hour to get home from there (3 miles). One of our employees left Raleigh at 1pm, he lives outside of Durham. When I called him at 5pm, he just got on I-40, and called me a little past 7pm saying he just got home, 40 miles, 6+ hours,

Storm just keeps on getting more and more intense. Check out the projected snowfall totals from this latest computer simulation.
Jesus. 2 feet in Baltimore? I lived there when we got those 3 big snows in 2009 (2010?) - there's nowhere to put the ####. Can't recall, GB - you inside or outside of the beltway?

We've got probably 3 or 4" here now and it's snowing fairly hard.

I'm in Towson, so inside 695 by a mile or two. 3" of snow per hour - that's crazy.

80 degrees in Orange County today....I just turned on my A/C for the evening so I can sleep
My bro and pop are there and are loving it. 80 is a bit much for me. It's 65 here in N. Ca and perfect.

I just sent a mass email to my employees saying everyone needsto be there by 8:30 this morning. I am not going in and will just watch the local news to see them wreck. Fun ensues for me.

Worst.Winter.Ever.
Not even close
I'm sure you're a nice guy and I apologize in advance for being in full-on Winter Rage mode, but you can kiss my pasty white ###.
:lmao:

Strictly talking NYC. Yeah, it's been a bad winter here but not close to worst ever!
I'm sure it's not, and - again - apologies. But the older I get, the less I can put up with this garbage. I've already shoveled once so I can open my storm door. Now I need to do it again. FML

Just hanging here in Philly at a hotel. My wife has the kids at home again tomorrow, but the worst of it will be gone, just going to be near impossible for her to go anywhere. Hopefully, it will all melt by Friday so I can get home. All the folks at my office here said they aren't coming in, so working from the hotel room. Hit Wegman's on the way back tonight for dinner and stocked the fridge for tomorrow in case I can't get out at all.
Got worse last night. Must have sleeted all night, now all the snow is one cohesive blob or frozen crap. Hopefully the sun comes out today at some point.

We have about 11 inches on the ground where I am in SJ with a nice crust of freezing rain forming on top right now. This is going to suck to shovel.

Could barely get the front door open to shovel off the deck. Probably got around 10" over night. Now the storm is acting like it has ADHD... Snow 1 minute, sleet, then rain, then back to snow. All of it really heavy. :loco:

About this. One spot on my deck is like 2 feet the way the drifts are going. My kid went out to shovel for excercise :excited: He will do a so so job but the bulk will be done :)

Supposed to sleet all day and then snow again all night

Hopefully. Just looked at the map and it seems like the ### end of the storm won't leave Charlotte.

Yeah....it's snowing again

In the city now...not bad.
Crap. So I'm going to look like a wimp working from home today?
You'll probably be happy you did when you hear the horror stories of trying to get home.
It's a massive blizzard outside... Looks really bad to me

Also, outside of 1996, I don't remember a winter this bad.

It never cracks 30 outside and snows 2-3x a week.. I'm shocked schools are open today, De Blasio kinda being a ####

I'm on 55 th and Mad. I can still see the streets. Plenty of activity, nothing's shut down. Not nearly a blizzard. We've had no major ice storms. Have we even had double digit accumulation yet this year in a storm? It's been bad but not worst ever.

Yeah another 1-3 inches today and then some freezing rain to put the cherry on top.

I think collectively it's terrible... We haven't been hit by any 18-24 inch storms, but we've gotten a ton of these 6 inch storms. I watched them shovel snow in front of the Starbucks across the street an hour ago and the sidewalk is already covered again.

Not much overnight but def coming down hard - and will all day by the looks of it.
Yeah I'm bailing. I just went out and shoveled. Maybe 6 inches of snow already, and after I made a pass through the walk and driveway,it was covered in another inch or two and I had to go back and redo. Did that three times. And it's still coming down at a good clip.

Suck it work. See you tomorrow maybe

Just let it go. Shovel all at once.

Our snow has been teetering between nice fluffy flakes and little pellets of ice.

In other news, my house is the first on the block to be shoveled, so I've got that goin for me.

Also, its time to buy a real snow shovel. My garden shovel really sucks.
Leaf blower dude....this stuff is powder!
Not here in PA.
Not here now either after the overnight sleet/freezing rain.....now it's just a mass of ice, but yesterday as it was falling it was really dry....awesome ski snow, not so good for the sleds :(
