Snowmageddon 2022 (2 Viewers)

Lots of talk about "white out conditions." How badly does CNN wish they had some White Out right about now.

 
Don out and about in the "mobile weather vehicle, the blizzard vehicle." Could have just taken the Civic.

CNN has a live blizzardmobile going on now. If this is a hype of nothing about the severity of the storm, it will be another :bag: for them.

Yeah, in CT. But they're still sticking to their guns and predicting a few feet. We've got maybe an inch in a forecast of 30". They keep saying on the news that this will get legendary, though, so I don't know.

Anybody want to hit that J-7 into a face card, or what?

This is a stark contrast to the crying Otis who hid shaking under the bed during after Hurricane Sandy. Has the snow stopped in Long Island?

 
Tide is currently running out in my neck of the woods. High tide supposed to be 12:50 am or so.

I'm no Cantore, but if I had to guess at what that meant, I'd think that the surge from the low has already hit and that the worst is currently more east than south of my position on LI.

Which would mean that all we're getting is the remnants on the west of this storm. Which would mean there's not much more to come.

 
I've been taking a drink every time TWC said "historic storm"... I'm fairly hammered, my wife has been complaining of a headache and is completely sober. Not a fun combo in the FC house :kicksrock:

They do not know how quickly the storm will move out to sea. 1 to 3 feet covers all bases.

Or backing up and coming back over inland, which also happens.

Or North Carolina.

I don't know. I just hope this is around a foot-and-a-half, tops.

 
Guy on weather channel in Boston Common trying to make it look like armageddon is happening there - but he can only knock about 4 inches up and some of that was already there. T&P to all of you in Boston enduring this mammoth storm

 
They closed my office for tomorrow at like 8:30. There's MAYBE 3 inches of snow on the ground (and that's probably being generous).

So unless all our clients pushed the "OMG SNOWMAGEDDON!!!!" panic button as well, I'm going to have to wake up at my normal time and "work" inefficiently from home all day.

 
Fc and otis are dead on here. This is embarrassing by CNN. Even the map they have on CNN shows 8-10" for NYC. Is that worth all this coverage?

I'm only mad at CNN for two things. I promised my four year old I would build a snowman with her tomorrow, and I'm gonna have to go to work with a hangover.

 
Mercer County (NJ)/Trenton area has gone from a high prediction of 24"-36" to 16"-24" to 10" to 16" and is now at 6"-12". Probably end up with less than 4". Gonna be :wall: :rant: :hot: :censored: if I actually have to go to work tomorrow.

 
So.... All weather forecasts that said and continue to keep saying the worst of storm will happen overnight and through tomorrow as the clipper that hit us today meets the storm coming up the Atlantic.... Covering their asses, Amorites?

yep because even though they said the heavy stuff was starting at midnight they also said it would be snowing by now and its barely coming down out there.
 
Debating taking a walk outside... I'm fairly drunk and the dive bar around the corner is def open... It doesn't even look the least bit windy outside, although I'm being lead to believe 75 MPH wind gusts are coming and this snowstorm is different than the other 50 I've lived through.

The city does amazing job to clear the historic snow... all the governors and mayors pat themselves in the back tomorrow?

 
Lmfao last yr mayor left school open for some huge snowstorms and was blasted. Now he shuts down schools tomorrow for this?
