Snowmageddon 2022 (1 Viewer)

Office is closed regardless of the outcome tonight :pickle:

Fox 5:

"It's crazy, the streets are empty, there is nobody out here!!! You've never seen anyhi like it!!"

Yea ####wads, bc cars and transportation are shut, not bc of the weather, that's for sure.

Philly area I feel like we have maybe an inch of accumalation over the past 24 hours.

Now I'll be making french toast with every meal for the next month.

Hit the bar!! these are the best bar nights!

Ha, Fox-5 states "underperforming." Can I use that excuse for why I do jack squat tomorrow when I thought I'd be off?

Still claiming 20-30 inches. Rumors I'm hearing are that the Mayor's office told the news crews not to back off so people didn't go crazy knowing they have tomorrow off.

Guy on Fox is straight up calling his graphics a big lie.

"Well, these aren't exact, it can be less..."

You control the graphics. If it isn't going to be 20-30, you do have the power to change.

"only a couple more hours before they all get sleepy..."

I love how the guy in RI shoveled the snow into a big pile and said "we have a lot of snow here!".
6 inches in Cranston right now. Getting windy.
Sounds like you have a full head of steam there
70 mph winds on Block Island so it should be heating up soon. We are gonna see 20-30 I bet. This is a slow mover. Looks like the center is still closer to Cape Hatteras then us. Thunder snow soon.

The news is so happy that at least New England will collect solid totals... I'd be real happy if NE collected like 8 inches, but that doesn't look likely at this point.

Beach erosion is going to be a big problem for the cape. Coastal flooding also. I thought I heard someone say a 4ft storm surge but that doesn't sound right.

You're too impatient. Should be more than a foot at least.

I agree, NE will see a hefty total... I'm saying I'd be happy if they only saw 8.

So who hacked the weather satellites? Timely article in the last week or so saying how outdated and vulnerable they are. Is it a play to get funding?

I'm in MN and we have basically no snow on the ground. I'm annoyed that the frost is out of the top of my driveway so the moisture won't drain. Makes for a sloppy mud mess.

I'm going for a walk... Doesn't even look like it's snowing and we are in the 4 inches an hour :pickle: period right now.

The Fox 5 guy reporting live was also a few blocks from the house, I'm gonna go look for him.

If I don't make it, tell my wife/kid I love them.

Two inches out of a predicted thirty inches here in No. CT. Tuesday forecast (right now included) calling for five-eight inches. Just an update. Who knows? Seen weirder things happen. Grateful up until this point.

Only thing I'm curious about now is high tide and when the LIRR starts up again. If these folks refuse to give up the ghost and the LIRR doesn't get up and running until noon, I may still get a lazy Tuesday.

Just returned... 3 of the 4 bars I walked by were closed, the one that was open there were 5 dudes sitting at the bar, so I skipped the drink.

Snow total as of 12 http://i.imgur.com/E0klWtE.jpg

Digging out will be tough http://i.imgur.com/U9aEMlZ.jpg

Subways closed http://i.imgur.com/vxpYiBH.jpg

SNOWMAGEDON!!!!! http://i.imgur.com/6NmRxfe.jpg

Nice smooth surface, my skid marks, I can slide longer than a Volvo SUV http://i.imgur.com/VddYerc.jpg

I would call these conditions the opposite of dangerous. If it was 1pm instead of am, it would be the perfect weather to go to the park and play with your kids. Not too cold or windy, fluffy snow, nothing crazy...

HISTORICAL NEVER SEEN BEFORE!!!!!!!!!!
