So to the jersey peeps - the storm has sped up. Should be hitting South Jersey around 4pm, the mythical land of Central Jersey 6pm and North Jersey 10pm.

So you're saying the storm doesn't exist?
just Central Jersey ;) Only North Jersey and South Jersey in my world :D

Central Jersey is that place that a person from North Jersey will say is South Jersey and that a person from South Jersey will say is North Jersey :)

Exit 4-5 on the tpke... south or central joisy.
Burlington and Cherry Hill have 1 answerSouth Easily
Definitely. And nobody in there area says "joisy"

Anyone know if thundersnow is in the forecast anywhere?
We may get some here in DC, that's a big reason why Cantore is here!!!!
Cool!! We are here in Franconia waiting to see and hear some crazy weather! Very happy that our power is all underground.
Yup! Us too out here in Eastern Loudoun (Leesburg). Only the huge main power lines are above ground. and they are cleared enough from trees for this to not be a problem.

One guy from WUSA is covering the storm in Ocean City where some Amway people are in for a convention.

Who goes to OC in freaking January?

I'm now expecting Thundersnow in R.I. We will also probably bow get a foot of show at least. Why do we even bother trying to forecast more then 36 hours out. Other then temperature its never right.

Insane here on Long Island right now. No snow or wind yet, but people are going bananas in line at gas stations and supermarkets.

Southern and Central VA changed to sleet much faster than anticipated. The radar still shows snow in many places that are definitely sleeting.

wasn't as bad as I expected by me in NJ though I also went to the smaller less popular supermarket.

It switched to a real light sleet a couple hours ago here. I'm guessing about 8" on the ground now so far.

In case anyone wanted some nowcasting.

This is your Super Bowl, Sheik!!! The hell are ya?!
He only talks to us when he's at work. We're like his dirty little mistress.
omg, that is so true. Freaking Sheik is a chatty cathy during work hours, he get's home and we're on the no-call. I kind of feel used.
As you should. He'll come back Monday and he'll sweet talk us. He'll ask us how we liked the storm and apologize for not being here. He'll charm us and make us laugh with a silly story about how he put gasoline in the oil pan of his snowblower. His neighbor will save the day, his wife will put her hands on her hips and shake her head, we'll all sigh and say "that's our Shiek!"

I've seen it a hundred times.
