Snowmageddon 2022 (2 Viewers)

Still waiting on Frankie Macdonald to jump in on this.....but with Sheik and my other guy popping this thing....it's starting to look more ominous.

Drove to Boston today and will be in central NH until Tuesday afternoon on family business. I hope that Euro track holds, a sub 980 bomb in the Gulf of Maine would be an epic end to the winter!

DC news calling for 2-6" (I'd be shocked if we hit the high end of that range) here in the mountains of VA. Right now, it's raining with a few flakes in the mix. Temp has dropped since sunrise, but it's still 39. They threw up an advisory, but I don't expect this to amount to much in my neck of the woods.

Both Boston and Worcester are up in the air right now as to exact snowfall amounts.

Current forecasts say Boston could get anywhere from a minimum of three inches up to 14, but is most likely to see seven inches from this storm.

In Worcester there is similar uncertainty to the forecast with the city predicted to see anywhere between four to 16 inches, but most likely getting nine inches of snow, according to the NWS.

What's going on here?  I was shocked when a coworker just told me it was going to snow tonight.  I used to know about this crap a week in advance.

Boise normally gets 5 to 10 inches each winter. most of it melts in a day. We've had 25 to 30 inches in the last week. 12 yesterday. Great job of keeping main roads clear but all the sub division roads are way messed up and many can't get out of driveway

Wow, I never would have guessed that little.

Eastern and Northen Idaho are brutal, but Boise is protected by some smaller mountains and doesn't get a whole lot.  Lot of FB posts by old timers saying this is the most they've ever seen.  Since I posted this, the city has announced they will be going through the subdivisions Friday.  I planned a trip months ago to see the Ducks play the Wings and Yotes and will fly back Saturday AM.   It's 12 degrees right now and high Friday is suppose to be like 5.  Monday will be 42 (35-45 is normal) and we're going to flood.

Currently stuck in a Comfort Inn in Gunnison, CO because Monarch Pass is closed. Upside being it gave me two days in a row of powder at Crested Butte with 22" in the last 24 hours. It was puking snow for most of the day. Bottomless in places.

We have Seattle weather now. Expected to get a month's worth of rain this weekend alone. Rain forecasted every day for a week at least. Had to dig to find my umbrella for when I must go to my appts. Now I remember why I moved out of that miserable depressing state.

I'm probably going to stock up some supplies coming home from work tomorrow.  NC is going to get 4-6 inches and that might as well be 2 feet here.  I just have to figure out what show I'm going to binge watch all weekend.

Man in the High Castle?

Not sure where you are Max, but the Raleigh area is FEMA/Homeland code orange right now and projected to be batsheet full on blood red after the commute time later this afternoon.

Fayetteville area.  We're looking at 1-4 inches now and Raleigh getting between 5-9.  Should make for an interesting few days. I'm all stocked up for the next 3-5 days.  People are losing their minds at the store over a couple inches and some ice.

Man in the High Castle is definitely in my queue.

I'm out on Man in the High Castle. It really pissed me off that the season finale should've been revealed in the pilot. They completely waste the viewers time for an entire season.  No way I'm trusting them for another season. Too many other things to watch.

But I'm excited for snow tomorrow. I can't afford to close, but I'm excited to try out the snow blower.

Very jealous.  One of the guys I work with is spending from yesterday all through next week in Telluride.  Mad at him also.

Another binge option: Harry Bosch. Love Mike Connelly's Bosch series and this translates perfectly to the screen. Still snowing in the area, we had more sleet/ice/rain last night.

Expecting 4-8" on Long Island?

Storm kind of snuck up on me - good thing I have plenty of bourbon and my Ariens.

Off to the garage

Headed back to Boise.  3 to 6 inches olater today and again on Sunday .  it's one degree right now.  Snow tonight will break all time records.
