Snowmageddon 2022 (2 Viewers)

2 hours to get from cinnaminon to Brunswick.

Usually takes an hour.

130 was rough

Turnpike was pretty good.

Got home to find my back tire was completly flat.
My wife walked out of school to a flat tire also.  We only got about 4 inches of snow here in RI fwiw.

About 12-14 in north nj.  And it’s real heavy.  Lots of trees down.   God bless my snow blower.
my snow blower i think is on its last legs.

It could not handle all the wet snow last night.  Its usually pretty powerful but the auger gets slowed up pretty easily now

Yeah in Staten Island we got 4-5 inches tops. However, I drove to work in Roseland, NJ and its a completely different world here. Tons of snow. At least a foot.

Have you tried the non stick spray?  when i first went out mine was like that,  then i sprayed it down and that help.

It just creates giant snow balls that plop out of the chute. Then the auger stops turning.   I'll try that next?  What do you use?

when i go back out ill get you the brand i think its specifically for snow blowers.  But works well to prevent the snow getting clumped up in there.

I couldn't believe we only ended up with about 4 inches after how much it was coming down for a few hours. My brother in law is less than 15 miles from me and got 14". Crazy variance.

Hope you guys that got buried can get un-dug and powered back up quickly.

We had thundersnow once when I was a kid.  It was VERY cool.

Tuesday I was walking my dog, 49 degrees out, wearing shorts, and it started snowing pretty hard.  Craziness.

I would say I had about 8inches out in Eastern Long Island. Wet as F and just as heavy.

glad I snow blowed last night, but still had to make 2 passes each way to find pavement. My 1st run stopped up the blower and I was like "awe ####, I don't need this right now"

downside, my cable/internet got knocked out. found a wire running from the pole and across my street to my side. Figured it was mine but wasn't gonna mess with it. So i grabbed a wooden hockey stick and dragged it back to the pole so no plows or anything hit it. Best they can do is Saturday to fix it.

NJ and Westchester being spared this time around is a nice change of events. Based on the last model run I saw, airports should be okay.

Agreed - snow shouldn't be nearly as bad this time.

Bigger concern is the number of trees/large branches that splintered last week, but didn't quite drop - with more heavy wet snow and wind, could see some of those come down.

Without the threat of catastrophic flooding to accompany it, 18” of snow forecasted in Boston isn’t causing quite the stir it usually would. A new perspective I guess.

starting to ramp up here in NYC - snow accumulation may end up being sparse, but it's coming down at a pretty decent clip right now ...

I was walking to the office from Port Authority at about 7:40...started as big heavy flakes, switched to sleet, then rain, then back to sleet and finally snow.

Wasn't very fun.

I think a squirrel has taken refuge in my attic somehow.   He better be gone by Friday.  We have a few inches in RI so far.  I think my MRI is canceled but nobody called.  I may bill them for my time.

Not too bad so far.  About six inches of snow in Cranston.  The wind is picking up now, and the Governor has banned Tractor Trailers on RI highways.

I also heard all Dunkin are CLOSED today.  Gonna be some crazy caffeine withdrawals across the state by nightfall.  Maybe then the National Guard will finally have to be brought in!

Pray for us.

Office talk is a foot now?
Latest GFS run has Philly getting almost a foot and a half.

I'm in DE and have been lucky compared to everyone else with these storms, but this one has my attention.  They have been wildly changing the forecasts the past few days.  We've gone from 1-3" to 6-12" and back.  Latest is 5-8" right now.  First it was a Wednesday storm, then Tuesday, now back to Wednesday.  :loco:

I'm about 90 miles west of DC and we've not been affected by the first 32 Nor'Easters this month, but it looks like we get hit with this one. Forecasts are all over the place, though (mainly due to when the rain/snow mix happens). I've seen anywhere from 3" total to over a foot.

I feel for you guys near the coast after the last couple of weeks. Y'all deserve a break from this ####.

Lehigh Valley forecast is light snow showers Tuesday and 1 to 3 inches possible Wednesday om non paved surfaces. But then the last storm they had everyone braced for 12 to 14 inches and we got about 3 so who really knows.

WHAT...MIXED PRECIPITATION EXPECTED ON TUESDAY WHICH SHOULD BE MOSTLY SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN. TOTAL WET SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATIONS OF UP TO 2 INCHES ON TUESDAY WITH UP TO 1 TENTH INCH OF GLAZE POSSIBLE. FOR WEDNESDAY...TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 6 TO 9 INCHES, WITH LOCALIZED AMOUNTS UP TO 11 INCHES. * WHERE...PORTIONS OF SOUTHERN NEW JERSEY, SOUTHEAST PENNSYLVANIA, NORTHEAST MARYLAND AND NORTHERN DELAWARE. *

well, this won't do at all - have taxes and drinking lined up on tomorrow's docket - this forecast can go munch a bag of Richards.

Yesterday morning the butta face acu weather was saying 1-3 inches for us.  I go on a benda and now its 6-12.  Come on now!
