think he'll go at 33 with a trade.

if STL doesn't get anything they love, then they'll take an OL or WR, and Clausen will go at 34 in a trade.

The Bills need help. I don't know if Clauson is the answer, but I'm not looking forward to another season with Edwards and Fitzpatrick.

Why? If there's anybody who can hit CJ Spiller in the flat in a key third-and-long situation, it's Trent Edwards.

I would love to see him in Carolina, but no way does he make it past the the trio of CLE, OAK and Buf (all in a row BTW). This is why I see no way that STL keeps the first pick (2nd round). Excluding the jockeying that should occur b/t those three, you now have other teams that would not need to give up as much to slip by them (at their current places). This is why I like the new format...gives chances for teams to reassess their needs and review better the available talent.

I'd bet that McCoy lands with Cleveland, so I would think his two best options would be Kansas City (to reunite with Weis) or Minnesota. As a fan, I'd hate to see him land in Oakland.

I picked OAK. Provided a trade doesnt happen before their pick. Which is highly likely. I know it doesnt make sense at all, but I've heard that CLE and BUF are in the McCoy camp not Claussen.

I'm a little shocked I was only the 2nd one to pick KC since Weis is the new OC it just made a ton of sense to me but maybe more people like Claussen then me.

That's what I'm thinking. Sounds like Buffalo and Cleveland are making a push to move up to #33, and I thought I heard something during lunch where someone quoted Devaney saying that he'd be surprised if they still have the pick at 6:00pm EDT tonight???

I don't think Oakland, tho I'd love it.

Seems like a very similar situation to Quinn, everyone overrating the Notre Dame QB, except the NFL.

Also very surprised that there is no talk of people moving up for him. All the teams that seem to be moving up, it seems clear they aren't going for him. Maybe a smokescreen.

I bet Buffalo trades to 33 or 34 and takes McCoy and Cleveland passes on Claussen. Mostly a hunch, but if KC doesn't take him and Buffalo goes McCoy, this could get ugly. Maybe Carolina or Seattle could save him by trading up.

I think Clausen falls to the middle-to-late 2nd round. There aren't terribly many teams interested in a QB at this point, but there are many trying to get in on the trench talent that's available, including Buffalo.

I'd be very willing to make a sig bet that you're wrong about Clausen and that he's gone within the first 10 picks of the round.

Denver trades their 2nd and both of their thirds to move up and get him so he can back up Tebow.

:shark:

:)

Why on earth would I want to make a sig bet? If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. I like Clausen and think he'll be successful. I just don't think the interest level is there.

98 = Total Votes

64 = To a team at their current slot inside the first 9 picks of the 2nd Round

21 = In the 2nd, but in a spot where a team that trades up to pick him.

13 = Other

ETA: Looks like most expect him not to go past the 18th pick with KCC.

Yea I agree he will be gone very early. I feel like the only reason he wasn't drafted late in the 1st is because no one expected him to be there and there wasn't enough time for team to wrap their brains around a completely revised draft strategy. Now that they have had nearly 20 hours to plan for Clausen being avaialble in the 2nd, he will get gone quickly.

Surprised how many people picked Minnesota. I don't see it. I think the Vikings want teams to think they want a QB while targeting other players.

I picked KC.

I'd say #16 is more "middle-to-late" than "within the first 10" or "very early". :confused:
