I'm assuming that since Dilfer was placed in hospital that he's loopy and won't be able to play this coming weekend.

Who gets the start for San Fran given Smith's ongoing injuries and ineptitude.

I don't know the answer, but I am thankful for two things pertaining to the niners:

1) That my Patriots have their first round pick.

2) That neither one of my two playoff fantasy teams have to rely on any niners. If I did, they wouldn't be playoff teams.

Yes, because it made Mike Nolan think of offense, and he is clearly NOT capable of that. Which begs the ?, How did he get the HC gig but not know any competent OC's in the league other than Turner?Hill looked much better than Dilfer yesterday, he was responsible for dropping passes off to Gore and Davis, Dilfer NEVER even looked at either guy, he dropped back and fired the ball 20+ yards on almost every play.It was some of the worst QB play I have seen in a long time, he had plenty of time in the pocket and could do nothing with it.

Nope, ROcky Bernard did (or was it Darby?). A 300+ pounder ran right up the middle untouched and steam rolled him. The way Smith crumpled basically caused Darby to fall right on top of him and there goes the shoulder. That was week 4, they were 2-1 with both wins coming against NFCW teams. Seahawks manhandled them and it spiraled out of control after that.

Cinci D does give up 231 yd/game and 24 passing TDs.
