Wow, Aaron picking even though the guy before him has to re-pick.Wouldn't have thought you would do this - considering you were the one we held things up for to allow you to re-pick, when you did this rounds earlier.

Where at the crap time that it really doesn't matter. He also went to a different position. I'm glad he turned the corner late at night to keep this rolling as I would like to be done by the holiday weekend.
Look, I am not mad or pissed or anything like that. I just found it interesting - that's all - given that he was the one to make a pick anyway (instead of allow a re-pick) when he was the one that was given the time to re-pick earlier. That's it. No biggie.
I understand where you are coming from Adam, but that was your choice to wait earlier. In leagues like this where it is mostly experienced FF players, I say no mercy. Move the draft along. Guys should be paying attention IMO. Not trying to ba a ####, just the way I see it considering the competiton. These are free leagues, and I am here mostly to sharpen my skills against the top notch competition that are in them.

Too many ice cream socials sometimes.
Hey Jeff, given the above part I bolded - I got one thing to say.It is something I've teased you about a lot in the past - i.e., trying to remove bias.

I know we joke about this, but it is true.

Look at your squad in this FREE league so far - it includes:

Roy Williams

Julius Jones

Marc Bulger

Chris Johnson

Dallas

I'm just shocked you didn't do what it would have taken to land DeAngelo Williams. :P

I think you know what I am getting at without having to actually connect the dots.

But I do see your other point. But while I see it, I also think you hit on something - this is a free league. So it isn't a huge deal to hold up one second for a guy. Moreover, you'd especially think that when you were the one it was previously held up for - for the exact same reason earlier.

But we don't all have to bash me for this. I understand everyone's points. And in fact, I agree to a large extent. So again, I am not pissed or anything like that. It was more about bringing it to his attention in case he didn't even realize it.
I love it!I feel like I got good value with Bulger and Roy.

I also think Julius is gonna surprise some. If I am wrong then so be it. I think he was RB 25 or so off the board. I feel like he will finish higher than that. Time will tell.

I like Johnson in this format givin PPR and best ball. Not to mention his homerun ability.

Dallas added at least one and maybe 2 (depending on Pacman) above average return men. Their Secondary should be much improved also.

I feel like my team will last longer than yours, and I'm all ears on a side bet if you're interested??
By suggesting a bet - I realize you are missing my point completely about bias. But to address your point first - I'd make a bet with you anyway.

But didn't we make a bet in the first year of HA1 about Giants and Cowboys and I recall winning that?!?! What ever happened?

Speaking of Giants and Cowboys - what did you think of the game on January 13, 2008? :goodposting:

But yes, if you'd like to make a bet - I'm game. Don't think for a second I haven't seen how you do in these survivor leagues. You had a deplorable 2007...and I mean ugly. (Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.)

But getting back to my original point for a second...

Roy Williams, Julius Jones, Marc Bulger, Chris Johnson, and Dallas DST.

That's 5/12 of your team - practically half.

And the bias I know about is only from the HA league. Perhaps you have the other 7 players in your other leagues.

(Sorry, I just can't stop laughing.)

Anyway, let's see that list:

Roy Williams - you had him on HA for quite some time and absolutely loved him - more than almost anyone else.

Julius Jones - you had him as a result of being the Dallas RB and now that he is supposed to be the starting RB in Seattle - I wouldn't be surprised if you projected him to be in the 15-20 range of RBs.

Marc Bulger - surprise surprise - another guy you have in the HA league.

Chris Johnson - shocker - yet another guy you have in the HA league.

Dallas DST - real shocker - they are your favorite team.

See my point? Bias on some level on everyone.

Did somebody say DWill ??? Oh... nevermind.

You guys are hilarious. I can't wait to see the stakes on the line here...

Okay, I have sent OM's pick per list to Blue-Kun who is up next. If OM shows up and picks it will be BKs pick - if BK shows up first he will post the pick I sent him for OM and then his. capiche?

Out

13.09 Nick Folk, PK DAL

I know, interesting pick. The bye week allows me flexibility latter in the draft.

I would appreicate it if someone would pm next otherwise i'll do it when I get home.

OK..made he long commute home.

BTW ... no wprries with Rud pickin. I was a little surprised he picked since joffer and I lost out on Manning and White respectively earlier in the draft, but we need to keep this thing going before the MBSL starts.
I appreciate the consideration, but you guys should have just made your picks. I didn't even want Eli since I already had Jacobs and Plaxico on my team. I would have been happy to be forced into taking someone else.If you wanted the Bills defense or Alex Smith, feel free to take one and I'll repick. I certainly don't think either pick is critical to my team's success and there are at least 10 other picks I could have made here and been just as happy with.
As I said Rud, no worries ... back to organizing my purse.I'll also apologize to the group for not one, but two duplicate picks. I've been on the road or tied up in meetings and have not had the time to devote that I normally do. Still :goodposting:

I have come out and said it myself that I got my ### handed to me last year. I have no problems admitting that, but if you think that is the norm, then you better check again. Before last year I had only one finish outside the top 3. Doesn't really matter. Even better if you think it's easy money.I remember us talking about a bet during the HA 1 start up draft. The way I remember it though was we talked about it, then we started talking about that 3rd round trade (when you got all mad cuz you mised out on Maroney, and I was after Julius oddly enough. lol) and never agreed or discussed/ finalized what the actual bet was. The Giants won that game, and if you can refresh my memory in case I'm mistaken, I will take care of whatever it was. And where in the #### have you been for the last 2 years??

Last time we talked I gave you, and your boys props for the big playoff win, and SB victory to boot.

As for the bias, sure if you want to call it that. As an owner of Bulger, and Roy last year I really felt that Bulger at QB 12, and Roy at WR 14 were great values. Both had really down years and I expect them to rebound.

I have a feeling that Duckett is not as good as MB3, and feel like Julius got somewhat of a raw deal in Dallas. Obviously I'm in the minority, but I'm ok with that. The guy has 2 of the top 4 rushing performances on a franchise with a rich RB history. The guy can play IMO. Not saying he's a lock for the top 15 either, but I think he is being sold a little short. Just my opinion.

The bet idea was in reference to my picks as bad ones. I will stand behind them and put my money where my mouth is. That's it.

Let me know how frisky you are feeling, and lets get it done.

Ok in order.

BK selects 12.09: Indianapolis Colts DST

OM selects 12.10: Green Bay Packers DST

ravnzfan selects 12.11: Baltimore Ravens DST :homer:

Tex selects 12.12: Oakland Raiders DST

Defense run. :excited:
I want to take a second and thank tex and Old Millwaukee, drafting on each side of me...these guys have sent lists, usually covering 2 rounds, at almost every selection!

also, Hear-the-Footsteps and Blue-Kun, who have been put on the clock quickly as a result of our putting up several selections at once, when we've finally gotten to one of our spots...and for being there to post those selections for us when we've sent lists, unsolicited

finally, honorable mention to the Capt'n, who has been kind enough to open his office and collect our data and post the multi pix on occassion when it would have been ackward to send a list to one of the others...it's cooperation like this that keeps me comming back for these

nice work guys!

:banned:
You don't know how much I appreciate you guys for taking my lists. As most of you know, I am usually around much more for these drafts but I have been working a lot more hours than normal lately, and because of that, spending more time with family and less time on the computer. I'll be off tomorrow, so hopefully I will be here for whatever picks come up. Thanks again for the help.

btw: PLEASE PUT PERRY AND OLLIE on either side of me again in these drafts. This has been the FASTEST corner in the history of Survivor leagues!!

okay, back to the lists

for Old Milwaukee

14-10 Matt Ryan, ATL, QB

and for ravnzfan

14-11 Denver Broncos DST

pming next

Will PM next guy.

Edit to add:

Nevermind - just saw he was taken.

I'll just go with:

15.04: WR - James Jones

He was the guy I wanted. But it causes me issues with bye weeks. If I can get past that week, I will feel a lot more comfortable. But with Driver and Lee on my team - all on GB - could be trouble.

Already PM'd next guy.

Okay ignore everything above.

Going to try again. :banned:

15.04: PK - Jeff Reed
