Start David Garrard this week (1 Viewer)

This deficit will help Garrard's numbers, as opposed to it staying a close game. Don't be surprised if he throws for some decent yardage and a couple of scores while playing catch-up.

he's got plenty of time in the pocket, but seems to always look for a checkdown or short pass. Cards not giving up anything deep so far.

At least I know that I can start Schaub with confidence in the future. Last week was the Jets D, not him. I will lose this week because I started Garrard but I won't make that mistake again because he will be on the waiver wire.

Wow, this thread may turn Chase into the J.D. Salinger of FF reporting.........not the quality writing part, the recluse part.

:goodposting: It's a quarter and a change so far people. Give it a chance. There's plenty of time later to say we were wrong.

Garrard looked awesome on that scramble and was starting to build some nice momentum before the Williamson fumble. Williamson looks like he hurt his arm or shoulder afterwards.

I think every time I have turned it back to this game, Arizona has had the ball. I'm pretty sure this is true. So I'm not sure how it looks right now but it's got to be pretty bad.

tough to do much when the other team's QB has completed every single pass thrown and the RBs have rushed 10 times for 59 yards (5.9 per carry).

I didn't draft Garrard in any leagues for a variety of reasons...but the best thing for him at this point is they are down 24-3 and have to throw it in the 2nd half...he might still get 250+ yds and 1-2 TD in garbage time.

I have Garrard starting on 3 teams. Once in FFOC with Palmer on the bench...once with Schaub on the bench...and one more time as back up to McNabb. I think I hate him.

:2cents: As yet another owner who let the FBG staff talk me into starting Garrard over Schaub, I'm a little frustrated today. Will this finally end the FBG man-love for Garrard, who is unfortunately taking up space on all four of my teams (luckily, I only started him in my big money league)? I know I'm ultimately accountable for my own actions, but shouldn't we be allowed to expect better advice from the FBG "experts"?

Garrard has not thrown an INT or FUM it away yet so he is going ot stay in the game to the end. They are down 24-3, they must throw the ball...

2nd half: 150+ yds, and 2 TD one way or the other.

Why am I trying to defend Chase? No reason really other than I don't like to watch a total pile on. At least let the game come to an end before you guys tear him apart. Are you all going to come back in here and apologize if Garrard lights it up in the 2nd half? I doubt it.

The guys that are "piling on" were piling on all week. Lots of us said Garrard sucks and asked why he was being recommended.

If putting your team in 4th and 7 situations was a stat in fantasy scoring, Garrard would be highly sought after. Second only to Jason Campbell..

Awful

You want FBGs to be 100% on their picks or are they allowed to miss some?
FBGs can and do miss on lots of picks. But they shouldn't be missing on picks that they are so confident about, they go out of their way to start a separate thread for. :pickle:Although I agree with the others that Garrad may tack on another 150 yds and 1-2 TDs in garbage time, making the Garrard recommendation look better.

I just thought I'd check in on the thread... LOL... so glad I chose Flacco over Cap'n Checkdown. 11 completions for a whopping 104 yards.

IF THE IDIOTS WOULD LET WALKER BE A PART OF THIS OFFENSE MAYBE THINGS WOULD BE DIFFERENT!!!

So I just read Chase's OP in this thread and had forgotten how passionate he was about playing Garrard and all the Jags this week.

I think his mistake was in not just presenting the facts - which on the face of it did support starting Garrard this week.

If you read the OP and agreed with the facts and the decision to start Garrard extrapolated from them, you still have to take responsibility for your own decision.

I would have been better off starting no QB at all this week. Garrard is getting me -1 points now. AWESOME!!

I've been a FFG subscriber for six years now. However, the past two have been dreadful for me (DraftDominator, Weekly Cheatsheets, etc).

Note to D Garrard. You're now down by 4 TDs with 5+ minutes left in the 3rd.

7 yard dump offs to the TE, RB, and old man Holt probably ought to be replaced with something a little more useful.

Actually, just run 3 times then punt. It'll be over faster that way.

I've been playing this sport for a really long time, and I know my ####. However, I try to respect the time and effort that the staffers here put in. I subscribe every year for a long time now. Against my better judgment, I drafted Garrard in all my leagues, because of the hype that surrounded him at FBG. I really wish I had listened to my own intuition...

Gerrard is doing very little to resemble an NFL quarterback. He should only be starting in the deepest of mixed leagues going forward.
