*****Steelers v. Bengals MNF-What do You Need**** (2 Viewers)

Steelers sh@@@@ offense has already gassed the defense.  If I was a defensive player,  I would go into locker room at halftime and throat punch everyone on offense

What is your fascination with the Jets? Is it because Cincinnati sucks so bad they've never sniffed the Lombardi?
I am intrigued by the Jets situation this year and I am stuck with the Jets on tv too much in this market.  It's a 1-year fascination- Gase is absolutely unbelievable.

Now I am just worrier about you guys taking Sewell (though if we play Houston or Baltimore like this Sewell is gone fastet than you can say Trevor Lawrence regardless).

Jets have same number or Lombardis as the Bengals in my lifetime.  And I am old.

Seeing as how this is the "What Do You Need?" thread, I'll update. I went into the half up one to his Roethlisberger and Claypool. I'm now up 3.98 points. This can't happen, can it? I'm sure it won't but it sure makes things interesting for the second half. I'd love some nice long drives by Cincinnati. I own the tiebreaker.

The Jet factoid was a coincidence though - someone asked about 11-0 to 11-5. That Jet result was closest example I could think of at least in the Super Bowl era.

Giants actually can break the Bengals record the opposite way if they make the playoffs after starting 1-7 (Bengals were 1-6 and reeled off 7 straight wins to go 8-6 and make playoffs under Paul Brown.

Bengals start the half with the ball so who knows

Hope you make it ;)

Gotcha. It comes across as a bit morbid or like schadenfreude, but I getcha. We've talked about this before.

The most memorable entries in wikipedia on Todd Haley are "1.5 million-dollar lawsuit against McDonald's after his wife found a dead rat in her salad" and "Haley's wife, Christine, who was involved in a "minor scuffle" at the bar Tequila Cowboy that quickly ended. Todd Haley was not involved nor injured in the incident". lol

Oh my God. She's a treat, isn't she, Todd? :lmao:

If this score holds up then the Bills move into the #2 seed.  Would have interesting implications for the "Should Bills rest their starters" question.

It's Big Ben. Reminds me of Cam last year with the Panthers. Getting old sucks.
Conner being out (as well as the rookied Guard that was starting) having a bigger effect than I thought.  I really thought they were going to pound the rock against us and be judicious/safe with Ben (I don't think his knee is right).

Weird that he got old in the middle of the season.  Ben sucks but he isn’t the whole story,  it’s that offensive line. They can’t get a push and they can’t pass block for more than 2 seconds.  Defenses have figured it out and even the Bengals defense looks like world beaters

It is so simlar because of the QB sweat/tank desire.

And if this game (and Jets/Rams) show anything you never really know.  Ther Jags players and lame duck coaching staff don't want to go 1-15.

Only genuine team tank (down to at least the bench bosses) was the Penguins for Mario Lemieux.  And that literally was to save the team. (My Devils got aced out for #1 that year - I think it literally came down to a last-game head-to-head).

But I digress

Feels like the Bengals have not made a decent halftime adjustment since Sam Wyche was coach. So, they’ll probably come out conservative and piss away the lead in three series.
I picture a strip sack fumble on Finley at some point. Ben hits a few 8 yard crossing passes that his WR’s turn into some big plays.

Steelers win by 3.

Or they just suck and lose by 20.

accurate first sentence.  Marvin literally did not believe in halftime adjustments. Said so.
