Steelers win Super Bowl.Foregone conclusion.
Not when the Steelers make Baltimore their whipping boy 3-years in a row. It's going to be a HarbaughBowl. Ravens/Niners!
They couldn't beat the Ravens twice so far. There's no team in the AFC the Steelers couldn't beat.
The Playoffs are a different beast my friend. Given the Steelers are 5 - 2 in their last 7 Playoff games. With two of those wins coming against Baltimore.I'm giving the nod to the Steelers if that matchup happens. They couldn't beat the Ravens twice so far. There's no team in the AFC the Steelers couldn't beat.
That's an intersting statement, seeing as the Steelers have played 3/5 of the other AFC playoff teams, and were unable to beat 2 of thoseThere's no team in the AFC the Steelers couldn't beat.

Hey now, I'm a Cardinals fan.Just pray you don't lose to the Denver Tebows.I promise you will never hear the end of it if they do.
I was more talking about the talking heads on ESPN bowing at his feet again.Skip Bayless' head may just explode on set if he does pull it off.Hey now, I'm a Cardinals fan.Just pray you don't lose to the Denver Tebows.I promise you will never hear the end of it if they do.

I was pretty confident the Steelers were going to win this week but now I am absolutely sure they're going to lose and this thread will be the hottest one in the shark pool Sunday night & Monday.
:(
Wish I knew that feeling. Being an Eagles fan teaches you to expect the inevitable failure. Its always coming at some point.I would think the Stillers' success over the years inevitably breeds this kind of confidence. I've never rooted for a team that wins all the time so I can't relate. What's it like to always feel like your team is gonna pull it out, no matter how bleak the situation (not implying their situation is particularly bleak)?
It's incredibly awesome. But it's that much worse when they can't pull it off.But I wouldn't trade it for the world.I would think the Stillers' success over the years inevitably breeds this kind of confidence. Eminince's front is a put-on.
There's no team in the AFC that couldn't beat the Steelers right now....Denver included.Ben gimpy, no Pouncey, no Clark, no Mendenhall....not good.'Eminence said:There's no team in the AFC the Steelers couldn't beat.

This years Playoff teams are all Offensive flash and the Steelers find a way to get it done every year.

He was smart enough to post this when he had a couple of games before that should happen.I was pretty confident the Steelers were going to win this week but now I am absolutely sure they're going to lose and this thread will be the hottest one in the shark pool Sunday night & Monday.

and posibly the Packers...who beat them last year in the SB with half their team hurt. And possibly the ravens who swept them this year.'Eminence said:There's no team in the AFC the Steelers couldn't beat. Besides maybe the Patriots giving them a headache.

When's the last time the Steelers lost in a non-Super Bowl Playoff Game?

wasn't true?the Steelers have played 3/5 of the other AFC playoff teams, and were unable to beat 2 of those
What about the team that beat them last year? They are 15-1, scored 560 points, but don't pose a huge threat in the manner the Saints or Giants do? What gives you any indication the Steelers defense would play better than their last matchup where GB's WR's dropped balls in spades and still scored 31 points? Ben is playing injured, Mendenhall is out, Moore is out/will be playing injured, Harrison is playing injured, Woodley is playing injured/and or with lots of rust. I'm not sure they make it past Baltimore.Playoffs in general, genius. No one has had more success than them recently.
Well they played 4 of the AFC playoff teams, or in other words every team but DEN.And went 3-3 against those teams, with 1 loss being to a HOU team that is much much worse now.I'm not sure why you quoted my post'Bayhawks said:That's an intersting statement, seeing as the Steelers have played 3/5 of the other AFC playoff teams, and were unable to beat 2 of those'Eminence said:There's no team in the AFC the Steelers couldn't beat.![]()

Duh-maybe i needed to look at their schedule 3 times to realize that.Well they played 4 of the AFC playoff teams, or in other words every team but DEN.And went 3-3 against those teams, with 1 loss being to a HOU team that is much much worse now.I'm not sure why you quoted my post'Bayhawks said:That's an intersting statement, seeing as the Steelers have played 3/5 of the other AFC playoff teams, and were unable to beat 2 of those'Eminence said:There's no team in the AFC the Steelers couldn't beat.![]()

Or maybe Brady Quinn...now there's a true test of a defense. How about getting past Tebow first, K?
Well thought out and I have thought much about what you've got posted here. I guess we'll see who had the better judgement / thought process as this all plays out. What about the team that beat them last year? Now imagine how we Packers fans feel with over twice the championships. Its fantastic. It's incredibly awesome. But it's that much worse when they can't pull it off.But I wouldn't trade it for the world.I would think the Stillers' success over the years inevitably breeds this kind of confidence. what about the niners ? remember week 16, easy win over the steelers.edit: ups .. week 15and posibly the Packers...who beat them last year in the SB with half their team hurt. And possibly the ravens who swept them this year.'Eminence said:There's no team in the AFC the Steelers couldn't beat. And possibly the Patriots at home that absolutely shredded them last year when they wer healthy.
And possibly...you get it.
