Still no sign of follow-up Perfect Draft articles? (1 Viewer)

Surely there's no other business where your paying customers defend your missed deadlines so vociferously?
Huh. I wonder why that is.Also, there aren't too many businesses where customers only interface with their clientele using email and message boards. One thing I've learned is the typed word is almost always received in a confrontational manner. Whatever negative emotions can be attached to the typed word will be attached. I have to give Joe credit for understanding this concept. Being aware of this has made life as a message board moderator much easier to handle for me.Lots of our most vehemently upset customers would come off as cupcakes if they were registering their complaints face to face. Not a problem. The anonymity that customers have allows them to turn "we're planning on having something posted by Tuesday" into "I promise". Again, the reality we work in. It allows them to exaggerate any statements knowing they won't be called on it. I'm not complaining. It's the nature of the business. Not much we can do about that besides trying to offer the best we have. If customers like it, they'll come back. If they don't, they'll leave.

The Auction one is close and should be LIVE by morning. I will do the 14 team after that.

This part of the year is tough for us. Tidbits of news can ruin a lot of things in minutes. The Portis/Lelie/Duckett news was big enough that I redid the Top 200 last night (even though I was seconds from posting it). We know that you guys are drafting soon. We are working around the clock to get everything we set out done.

Lots of other articles (freelance and staff going live tonight as well).

Thanks...keep up the hard work so that I don't have to work so hard! This is where you earn your money (I assume you are earning money)

Nice. Don't rush that 14-teamer. We want quality, baby. Just make sure you have it done by Saturday. :bag: By the way, the 10-teamer has an oversight in the second to last sentence of the entire piece. (It still talks about 12 teams.) Thanks again.

Thanks a lot Dave.

None of us have enough time. Keep plugging away. The value your site offers is unmatched.

I am going to read the 10 teamer in a few minutes...but for the love of god can someone explain why the 12 team "Perfect Draft" article cannot be used for 10 and 14 teams as well...You just add a round or 2 here and there which you have to do in a 12 teamer too.

If you think your going to get a guy in the 6th just because it says so in these articles your nuts...Jeff Pasquino talks about ensuring you get players by grabbing them a little ahead of time and I concur...you wait too long and your gonna miss out on that player. 11 other FF owners are not going to always do what you want them to do.

There is a bigger picture than whether or not a deadline was set and whether or not it was met. For me, the big picture is whether or not people have them in time for their drafts. So pushing back the deadline, to say August 30th for example, and meeting that deadline every year isn't the answer either. It's a perfect "draft" article. I'm biased because our draft was last weekend, but it seems to me that you likely keep the majority of people happy if you get them out before last weekend (even Friday night if necessary). I don't know the numbers but I can assume by the responses, I'm not the only one who has already drafted and won't benefit by these articles. Having said all of that, the site is still incredible and it's obvious how much work these guys have to do at this time of year so
:goodposting: It would be nice to have the article by early to mid august.

It was in the FBGMag too.

The Perfect Auction article is up!

Now all we need is the Perfect 14-Team Draft article, and Dodds finally can go sleep for a half hour or so.
