Jumped another 10%+ in AH.   We might hit 16!
that was too quick.  upper 16's, that was kind of scary.  wondered if the floor was totally going to drop on the markets.  that was a lot of volitility in a very short period.

Looks like the shorts are winning the AH AMC battle.
All the longs are having drinks to celebrate. THey'll be back in the morning buying on the big discount.

I would ahve sold, but it would ahve been considered a wash sale, and I don't want to be in the penalty box in this market.

It was my fifth highest single day ever, beaten only by a several TVIX days last spring

CFB Sicko says you are doing it wrong.

Guy is sitting on 800 April 16th call $12 options. He paid 31.25 cents per option. If my math is right, that $250 investment is now worth $10,880,000.

WTF hasn’t he sold? You’ve got to be a lunatic to not sell.

GME isn’t close to worth $140, let alone $50. In its glory days, it wasn’t even worth close to this value. This is fun to watch but when you know this price is literally due to a concerted effort to set a price, you jump off with life changing money. If you get greedy then when people decide to move on, these options  could expire worthless. It truly isn’t out of the question that the share price is under $12 by April.

sell to close......WTF is he waiting for.

Looks like he sold some today. Down to "only" 500 April 16 call $12 options. So he sold 300 calls for about $9 million.

Currently looks like he's sitting on 50,000 shares worth 17.3 million, the 500 calls worth 16.7 million, and 13.8 million in cash for an account value of $47.9 million off an original investment of $53,000. The calls he paid $250 for.

His one day gain (since he didn't sell yesterday) was $20.1 million

I've often thought about how stupid after hours trading is. Kind of silly that only those with access can make moves when everyone else is locked out.  What is the point?

Re: UVXY
Damn, set my trailing stop loss too tightly I guess and it triggered earlier today.  I had been accumulating on dips under $11 so still a winner, but left a lot on the table here.

But anyone can get access.  It's not like it's something exclusive.

ETA: No different than options.  You just have to request access.  The only reason they don't have either turned on by default is because they want you to read the disclosures about all of the added risk in either of them before you start trading.  People that don't understand liquidity can really get torched in AHs, especially in a normal market where AH liquidity is tiny (these days AHs trades almost like market hours so less of an issue).

How?  Already up in after hours?  I'm showing $13.87
It went to over $16 in the 10 minutes after close. I posted it should before it happened. its at 14.71 and will likely pop again in the 10 minutes before AH ends, if it stay above 14 until then.

I've never bothered with AH trading, but I'd assume like penny stocks you really should use limits instead of market.

Or is market even an option AH?

(I don't really want to get into AH)

Anybody holding AMC until tomorrow? I’ve already sold enough to profit but thinking I might want to let go of the rest before AH is over.

I mean, the RSI shows this is slightly in overbought territory.

I was going to hold it through Friday but I should have unloaded probably. Cleared a couple grand but got greedy like an idiot. No point in selling now.

Those of you that tailed me on DHHCU yesterday are down a little today (what wasn't, other than these frothy guys), but I picked up another SPAC today at $10.30.  FSSIU is focused on combining "with a business whose model reduces the carbon intensity in the energy, industrial, or transportation value chain."

Oh that sounds promising — I think I’ll open a position tomorrow morning. Thanks for these.  :hifive:

There was another one today, CLIM.U focused on "renewable energy, distributed generation, and energy efficiency", but it jumped over $11 pretty quick and closed at $10.90 so I went with the other one. But I'll be watching this one and if it dips a little more I may pick some up.

Hahaha!

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/amc-seizes-rally-sell-stock-214628230.html

AMC was so happy getting double what their stock was a couple weeks ago that they dumped about 60 million shares on Monday and Tuesday. They could have made way more but it’s comical that the company itself dumped that many shares under $5, but the stock went to $20 (looks to be down to $16 on this news). Still triple what the company itself sees as a good price because they have to sell stock to stay afloat.

So much wrong and I’m just interested to see which people get stuck holding the bag.

I assume AMC used the proceeds tp buy shares of GME

Ameritrade freezing short calls on gme and amc
Have to assume the shorts (that didn’t get destroyed already) are about to hit this one hard at these levels right?

Who crushed it on this crazy couple days? This could be an epic haul if you were on it.....I slept through until too late.

I closed out. I’ll keep an eye on fintwit to see if there’s a new possible target but I’m taking my couple grand and adding to non-crap positions that got hit once I think the pullback is close to done

I'm holding a large position of AMC at an average cost of $13.62.

38 million short interest out of 1.2 billion volume today. The afterhours trades are not material.

The panic at today's real close told the story.

David and Goliath and all.

Best of luck everyone. Today was epic fun.
