And we're here!16000 or soWhere does Dow need to be to meet the 10% pullback you always hear mentioned.
Alert Triggered for Schwab U.S. Broad Market ETF SCHB decreased -15.60% today and is currently trading at $40.51.
Please note you will receive only one "Price Changes (X)% Since the Prior Day's Close" alert per day for Schwab U.S. Broad Market ETF.
Well I have that going for me
If it might snow a lot this year, buy a snow blower. If it's a correction, get in now. It's all a guess right now as to when to get back in.
If it's the beginning of a 2007/2008 crash, don't even think about it.
JNJ rings all the right bells for me, but I would consider not putting all your eggs in one basket. If you believe you've caught a bottom, not a terrible idea to pick a low commission broad market ETF and spread some risk around. But its your $.I'll be the glass half full guy. If you have cash ready, what's the one blue chip you're getting into at a discount?
I've never owned AAPL, and am considering dipping in as a long term holding.
Now that we checked that box, make it stop! And we're here!16000 or soWhere does Dow need to be to meet the 10% pullback you always hear mentioned.
Looking to be live for half that.BTWI'm in the same position as you Buddy and looking to do the same.Right now, yes. Worse start that I thought. Is everyone still waiting to buy??you think today is the "bottom" for this correction?I have had 20k in cash waiting for a day like today. Do I go all blue chips?
I'm not so sure a little more doesn't come off. It looks horrible out there. I think things may drop more in the near term. But i agree a buying opportunity is "forming"
Let the smart guys here tell us when to go IMO. I'm nearly certain it's not going to be today.
keep us posted!hope they can get their money backSeriously?guys jumping off buildings in NYC.. this is going to be bad
Think it will get close to $100 again?I was going to add more AAPL and damn did that change quickly.
$104.93 as of right nowThink it will get close to $100 again?I was going to add more AAPL and damn did that change quickly.
So when do we buy on apple?$104.93 as of right nowThink it will get close to $100 again?I was going to add more AAPL and damn did that change quickly.
Apple is tricky, you have to think with the carrier model in the US changing and China somewhat imploding that their 12 month growth prospects are pretty slim. The mega ipad just seems useless. So when do we buy on apple?$104.93 as of right nowThink it will get close to $100 again?I was going to add more AAPL and damn did that change quickly.
...which is nice.Agree. Their market cap is huge, and all their cash is overseas. Lot of people love to buy Apple stock and their products though.Apple is tricky, you have to think with the carrier model in the US changing and China somewhat imploding that their 12 month growth prospects are pretty slim. Profits are still huge, but growth is meh.

You have 20-25 percent in the C fund???I have a decent amount of money in my government retirement. (TSP). I thought about taking about half of it and putting into the "securities" fund (right now 20-25% is in). At least for now. Any thoughts?
This isn't helping me much today, thanks.Just buy an S&P500 fund or EFT and be done with it.

I have mine split pretty evenly between the Internaional, S, and C fund. I think the C fund went up like 38% in one year a few years back. I don't even want to see how bad they have performed over the last week thoughYou have 20-25 percent in the C fund???I have a decent amount of money in my government retirement. (TSP). Ric Edelman and Dave Ramsey recommend about 60% in C FWIW.I have 40%, but have had as much as 50 in the past. G Fund is basically a cash fund these days, I'd probably shift most of that to C if I were you. I have 5 percent there. Your S and I contributions are similar to mine.Looks like about:You have 20-25 percent in the C fund???I have a decent amount of money in my government retirement. (TSP).
