They are just very well positioned to take advantage of integration with 5G. They dropped almost 5% this week after some insider selling. This was also a Rev Shark pick a couple of months ago. The stock has bounced between 10-11.50 on average the last couple of months as well, so this isn't bottom buying.
I think this is some gross over generalization. These planes are meant to be flying, not sitting in a warehouse/pavement for months/years with no flying. This can cause problems on oil/fuel/air systems due to corrosion and degredation of gaskets/seals/etc. One valve taking out both engines... don't see that in any standard design practice.
If there is one valve that can do that then it's a horrible design and should be grounded. Dual systems/backups has been a standard practice for decades.

Ok, i just checked. This is a bleed air valve in the fifth stage of the compressor that is used for a variety of things. One of which is to feed information to the dec (i.e. brains) to control the engine. Yes, it could cause an engine to shut down, or roll back as I'm not sure how their program logic is built (fail open, fail closed, or just not actuate...all different inputs/results to the engine).
To cause both engines to fail it would require each engines valve to fail in the worst mode possible at the same time. This is also for planes that have not operated for seven days.
For the record, I don’t have any stake in BA other than what’s in index funds I own. Just seen a lot of discussion about it here recently so passing along things I see. Those two twitter accounts are pretty quick to share news from various sources which is why I follow them.
I’ve been keeping an eye on the MJ ETF just because it has the largest market cap. It actually has a crazy high dividend right now too. Haven’t bought any yet though.

I've been in the MJ ETF, which has been a dog to this point. I just set the dividends to reinvest and hope for better pot companies to be publicly traded someday. Too few good pot stocks out there to make a pot ETF work IMO. Too many losers vs. winners just waters it down.
If I had to pick a single pot stock that would make it I would probably choose Canopy Growth, but not a slam dunk. I do wonder if big tobacco stands to gain the most if federally legalized. Would think they could easily big foot all these small time players.
A pot stock I've been watching is CRLBF, Cresco Labs. They have a presence in IL and I like their products. They're also expanding into other states and opening up some nice looking retail locations. Don't like that they are and OTC stock though, so still just looking but intrigued.
Another dark horse pot related stock I watch is Innovative Industrial Properties, IIPR. They are a pot REIT. They buy grows from companies and leases them back. Their business model makes a ton of sense to me.
I closed out my put. I don’t really want to own NKLA as I prefer companies that make profits, not just ones that have an interesting story. I missed out on TSLA that way, so maybe don’t do as I do. But feels like the price is corrected at $30. It’s speculative but if one were inclined, the price is reasonable if not outright attractive.
The MJ etf does hold some other things like tobacco and fertilizer companies so it’s a decent bet across the whole industry imo which is why it’s been the one I’ve been following-

We bought more INTC for everyone at $49.60 this morning. Love when stocks have massive overreactions like this. Chip delay? Stock plummets 17%.......buy buy buy.
It was beautiful.....bought and bought and bought. Overweighted the position a little today.
Tremendous stock....grows the dividend about 5% a year.....great financials, low debt, fundamentals are excellent. Love when this happens. Overblown short sighted news...you gotta pounce on this stuff. Also love when firms revise price targets down.....they have no clue. Seriously....most of them have no clue.

I've done some more research on that. From what I've read, cannabis stocks have low volume but have been popular with people shorting so the MJ ETF has been loaning shares and passing the income along to investors.
I was hoping to get in under $12 but think I'll just DCA into this one over the next few weeks unless it tumbles.

We federal employees have been told to not buy MJ stocks as MJ isn't legal federally yet. (My boss would only know because I'm a confidential financial disclosure filer, because I review other filings)

Damn, I missed it. Been partaking in too much of the devil's lettuce today apparently.
What about an index fund that just happens to hold cannabis stocks? Just kidding of course. I'm thinking we'll see national legalization soon enough, too much money to not imo.

Enforce the laws (equally) or change the laws. If it's listed and they aren't doing anything about it, they need to keep their nose out of any investment you make that is listed (assuming you are following the other laws).
@Todem no concerns on Intel moving running build v buy analysis and considering outsourcing production? That would seem to be a huge blow to their core value.
At the same time there is a significant motivation on a federal level to maintain independence with semiconductor engineering and production. Have to think there will be some support from our govt to push them to stay stateside.
Thoughts?
Also, would love a rundown / update on your list and where you might still see strong mid term plays at current valuations.

They talked about how Intel is shifting away from manufacturing to “data” on the Motley Fool Money podcast this week. I don’t really follow Intel well enough to know what that actually means lol but I’m guessing it’s some big brother #### haha.
