I was thinking of buying in the 18s on Friday when it dipped a few percent. SMH. I’m going to wait on it. Maybe I’ll never buy, who knows.Well, that worked out well

Very interesting. You can buy and sell Bitcoin on Paypal and hold it there like cash. I don't have a Coinbase or RH account.
Probably a dumb question, but are gains/losses in Bitcoin taxed like investments? Or in some other way?You can buy and sell Bitcoin on Paypal and hold it there like cash
Same as other Cap Gain taxes, short & long, as far as I know.Probably a dumb question, but are gains/losses in Bitcoin taxed like investments? Or in some other way?
Going to tail you here and take a starter positionadded more GMHI. Luminar seems like a no brainer. Tier 4 autonomy. Peter Thiel co. Volvo production contract. Mobileye partnership. Seems undervalued to me.
Yeah, it's gotten crazy. Might get to $30 quicker than I expected. Have to re-think those puts.I was thinking of buying in the 18s on Friday when it dipped a few percent. SMH. I’m going to wait on it. Maybe I’ll never buy, who knows.
I debated buying PLTR around $20 for too long on Monday. Only thing I ended up adding it to was my long list of woulda, coulda, shouldas...Yeah, it's gotten crazy. Might get to $30 quicker than I expected. Have to re-think those puts.

Didn't love $FROs moves / earnings. Not locking in any coverage when rates were sky high was likely a mistake. That said, a rising tide lifts all boats, and I concur with your assessment. I'm heavy in $EURN, $TNK, and $LPG at the moment.Bought some FRO on the down earnings report. Also added EURN. These are all 50% gainers in the next 2 years
Thanks for the thoughtful reply. If we assume it mostly works, downside I suppose is "vaccines work and everything is back to normal" - which, fine, I shall consider this an emotional hedge. I'd pay how much I have in $HGEN at the moment for that to be true. $APT is my other play along these lines. Makes N95s and I am thinking will have another pop post Thanksgiving when cases continue to spike.Wildcat, I appreciate your investment blog.
I haven’t sold a share of HGEN. Obviously the stock and sector is out of favor due to vaccine news. The announcement to increase enrollment in their p3 trial was met with disappointment. The good news is the trial is expected to fill quickly and I feel strongly that the decision to increase enrollment derisks the outcome. Know that Operation Warp Speed personnel have seen unblinded data, do you think they decided to partner with a lost cause? The interim results are trending better than standard of care. Severe critical COVID patients have scant options, steroids and stuff that’s not helpful. As I mentioned previously, Operation Warp Speed will be very helpful for a small company like HGEN, once you have a regulatory package (BLA) suitable for the US, it’s much less difficult to file applications worldwide.
Great vaccine news hurts HGENs COVID upside, but by no means kills it. OWS is buying medications and stockpiling. Also recognize this drug has been in development for quite some time for the purpose of immunomodulation. Clearing the regulatory hurdles for COVID approval helps speed other indications.
An analyst just reiterated a buy with a price target of $34. I’m waiting this out. Just my humble (biased) opinion.

Definitely overdone so looks like it’ll be a while before owning. That’s said, whatever the #### happened with APPN today will make me sleep OK. Had been bouncing around 40-60 for over a year and somehow is over 170 today? It was the worst performer in all the stuff I bought in 2019 by far and % wise has blown by stuff like ZS and ROKU that have more than tripled and is only behind TTD, FSLY and ZM. So glad I didn’t give up on it back in the spring when it was one of my potential sell for other things.Yeah, it's gotten crazy. Might get to $30 quicker than I expected. Have to re-think those puts.
Don’t blame you at all and I’d bet you will be able to buy that back cheaper before the end of the year.Had 1000 PLTR @ 10. Had to sell 350. Love the company and will buy more if it dips, but couldn't pass up 140% in less than a month. I own stocks for 5-6 years that don't do that. What a crazy run it's on.
I tailed someone in here on this...anyone still in it? Ran up further at the close, +35% for the day.FSR on a run this morning, not sure what triggered it but a welcome surprise. Resisting urge to take profits (+60%), hoping this takes off in 2021 as they get closer to rolling out some trucks.
Slack, Tableau, and some of Snowflake. Those guys certainly like good products. Must be a fun place to workSalesforce with a big drop today. Monday is earnings announcement and if the offloaded their cloud fare it will be a good number.

LOAKIn most circumstances asking this question Thanksgiving eve would be foolhardy. However, I'm pretty sure a number of you will be reviewing your portfolios over the long weekend.
I respectfully request that anybody here holding any SPAC please list it for me. I have loot in my gambling account and want to buy a few. Don't need a follow up or explanation why. I'll sort through what you guys post.
TIA

Regeneron is pretty much a non factor to HGEN and CYDY. Regeneron is prescribed super early, not even for hospitalized patients and another drug with limited supply at the moment on top of that.Personally, I wouldn’t be accumulating at all Regeneron just got approval and we now have three positive results on vaccines. The HGEN recommendations were well before any vaccine news. Also, since their trial that is closest to the end is tied to Remdesivir, that’s not going to be helpful with all the bad press tied to that now.
Objectively, I think there’s way more things I’d rather invest in than HGEN. That’s just my opinion and no one else’s. Good luck.
How is it a non-factor if it's something that can be prescribed early and stop people from needing another drug? Wouldn't that lower the addressable market just like the vaccines?Regeneron is pretty much a non factor to HGEN and CYDY. I think CYDY and HGEN are going to ultimately get approvals but from what I can tell, leronlimab is the better of the drugs. Its also the only one this deep in a phase 3 with mortality as an endpoint. HGEN had to change their endpoint away from mortality. They do have the government behind it which is a legit positive and the main reason why I have bought into it.
I have never had the expectation that leronlimab was going to be all end all here. If it can be used effectively as a specialist to a limited population, that will be more than good enough. How is it a non-factor if it's something that can be prescribed early and stop people from needing another drug? Wondering when the dip is coming on the market. Just feels way over bought.BTC down 12%. Bought more.
I own 57.x shares of this. What's going on? A quick google doesn't tell me anything. If you own any MO in an amount less than 100 shares, you will want to sell on Friday. If you have 99 shares or less, it will be liquidated and there will be a $2.75 per share fee up to some max.

Let me know your interpretation. I put in a sell order at the open. It could possibly be a option but why would any chose to sell their odds lots at $2.75 a share?Texas Football said:Hmm interesting. Thanks for the heads up! Will re-read all this after I stuff my self with some turkey.
I don't understand all of this, but I am putting in a sale for open also. I can't wrap my head around the fee part. No taxes till you sell.So with end of year rolling around. I've never really had to worry about stock taxes....
If I buy AMZN and make 5K, but dont sell, no taxes until I sell?
What If I make 5K, then put it back into another stock? Have to pay on the 5K?
Those are way overbought, no doubt about it. I trimmed some of my APPN but probably would be smart to dump the rest while it’s where it is. Need to check tax implications but there’s no real news and that type of action isn’t normal for that or EVs and PLTR and others.Interesting to see more study of this: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-11-25/wall-street-dealers-in-hedging-frenzy-get-blamed-for-volatility
I wonder how much of this is going on with PLTR and some of the very frothy EV names. That seems where r/wallstreetbets have moved to
