Let’s keep the Trump rants in the PSF.

Just added some AMZN for my kids, cringed at the price but figure long term it’s fine. Anyone else adding?
Interesting...Trimmed a share today around $3720.  Continuing my plan to trim a share roughly every $100 and will add back a share on any $200 pullback.  Once we get over $4000 I will probably trim a share every $50 and likely will trim some the day of earnings regardless of price.

It’s looking like a decent pullback for my whole portfolio in sheer dollar amount but none of the individual stocks are down a crazy amount by percentage. I ended up restarting BL and started DCBO in the HSA when that funded, might add to those if they drop a few percent. Maybe add to Ulta after a couple days pullback. Maybe add to my August calls for WISH in the gambling account. Could add back some of the UPST I trimmed but I still kind of want to wait for another earnings report there.

Might just do nothing and work instead. 🤮

WTF did you guys do this this place?  Been crazy busy at work and not checking in much.  Stop in to say hi and someone has their hands all over my udders.
Priorities. I'm always active at the market opening and close. I like buying at the opening on down days.

Who's shopping today?

Or are you waiting for a bigger drop?
I'm adding a little but not convinced this will be it. For my biggest winners, I'll need to see a much bigger drop than this before adding. For my newer or smaller positions, I kind of want to get through earnings first but might nibble here and there.

Went shopping at my favorite store for the usual. I had actually sold a bit of SE back in the $280s, bought under $260.

@stbugs Bought some cheap Upstart this morning.  Wish i had a bigger pair because I'm already up 6% on it.
Me too. Should have gone all in at $82 a few weeks ago.

I talked myself into buying a little XLNX today.  @identikitplanted the seed yesterday.

Between AMD and XLNX, this is one of my biggest positions.  I'm good now for sure.
It’s almost a 15% discount. I’ve already got a full position so not planning to add more but I’m surprised the spread grew a bit after the EU ok’d the deal last week. I think only China approval is left.

Feeling the same way. I’m not flush with cash, so being more cautious in adding and I don’t feel like today was it. I’m barely down and it seemed like a bloodbath early.

For my regular brokerage, if the market drops 5% I'm taking some leverage / margin loan at 2%. That's my reserve right now. It would only be ⅓ at most of the account value.

That's insane.  I've been adding a share or two of XLNZ every time I see it down 1% or more vs. AMD.  Getting close to cashing out my AMD across the board for all XLNZ.

Any thoughts on SWBI? I'm thinking of starting a position.
Just taking a quick look - it’s cheap. That’s about it. Has gone from 23 -> 27 in 5 years. Where’s the capital appreciation going to come from? They sell more guns? Is that it? I generally don’t own companies that are basically products because what can they do to grow besides sell more? No subscriptions, no other industries to enter and disrupt, etc.

Maybe you’re buying it for income? Yield is only 1.16% but looks like they just started paying one and raised it substantially last time, so maybe it could work out as a dividend growth stock.

It’s not for me but it’s cheap, could potentially be an income play. I just don’t see the stock price itself doing much. It does tend to pop and drop on news so could be a trading vehicle sometimes.
