As much as I want to part ways with HGEN today and move onto something else,  it seems like its going to be better to hold for a bit.
well I’m not going to sell at a loss like this. I’m just stubborn that way, everyone is different. Seems like they will have more bites at the apple though, they have the NIH trial going on, I’m just going to ride through it. It sucks, but doesn’t change my day to day at all so I can be patient.

Agreed.  I'm debating buying more but likely will just ride it out.

I agree with you, I think it will have a chance to at least run up higher than it is today.

That being said, I'm willing to take a loss at some point and move money somewhere else, just not today.

I think I would rather ride it to zero than sell at a loss like this. I’m still holding some stock called cobcf or whatever for years now that is -80% :lmao:

I die hard.

This example is funny but I have a hunch this patient, panic-free approach has served you well over the years

Thanks, it has and will continue to do so I hope.

I always have a plan and measure in what happens if something like this takes place so it was accounted for, if not exactly expected.

Me too. It takes a special kind of suck to be down overall for the year while the overall market is up like it is. *winning*
Add in being down after being a big winner on CYDY and it’s an extra special gut punch.   I’m actually afraid to log into my fidelity account and see the number

Not the same at all, come on. Hgen met their timelines, easily. They can’t control when the fda makes decisions.
1. Insider selling - check

2. FDA response delayed in a pandemic when treatment is needed - check

on top on that the study returned marginally positive results just like cydy. My fault for not weighing that more.

Fortunately I made enough on the earlier runs that I’m only a little upside down. Got greedy with my $9-$10 shares and I’m paying the price

Ahhhhh, Cobalt Blockchain.  Such promise.  Such intrigue.  Such warmed over buffalo doodoo.

I have 60,000 shares of this stupid thing with a cost basis of 0.12.  I wish we could pin this sentence in here in the event I ever recommend a stock again, one could do a quick reference check to see what I've gifted this forum in the past and say "oh yeah, that's the dummy that spit out Cobalt Blockchain and refused to sell it".

I don't even think I can sell it.  Avg volume is like 40K shares a day.  I'm stuck!  It's a Hotel California of stocks, only instead of a hotel it's a cardboard box and instead of California it's Haiti.*

*No insult intended to Haiti.

What does the fda delaying a response have to do with anything? They could as easily said no 40 days ago. This is just causation without any correlation.

That Dale guy selling, I agree with you there.

Also, their results were way better than cydy but who cares.

If it was a slam dunk, we would have likely heard something sooner.  Sounds like they aren't saying it doesn't have any benefit, just that the benefits don't obviously outweigh the risks.  I also wonder if this had been a BigPharma drug if it would have been approved.

I've been balls deep in getting a new business off the ground, otherwise I likely would have trimmed 10% a week starting in late July.

Not blaming anyone, just rehashing what should have been obvious to me so I don't make that mistake again.

From what it seems, they are going to use the NIH data for the trial filling to support the EUA later this year. That should easily give them enough data, guess we have to wait and see if it will be positive data or not.

I had just crawled back to even from the STMH debacle. I'm not going to have enough time to recover from this one by the end of the year. Oh well, I was up 69% last year. Blew out HGEN at a 54% loss, it's going to be more than 3% down for the entire account today. We move on.

Feels like Hgen closing at 8 is definitely a well that could have been worse situation.

Again not trying to be a pessimist because I am stubbornly holding as well, but CVAC dropped to $47 on its trial results, closed up at $60 for the day, and within a week was right back in the 40's.

NERV dropped to $2, closed at $6 on day 1, then a couple days later was back to $3.

Not saying it will be the same just that in my limited experiences with this there is usually more pain to come.  The good news is CVAC re-tested its low several times and has now climbed a good ways out of the hole.  NERV not so much.

Yeah, there are not going to be any good near term catalyst so it’s likely to just drift back down. If it were an earnings miss due to higher acquisition costs or a deal closing later than expected then I actually think it would recover better because it’s done, but not getting the EUA is blow to the  core of the business.

Yea I’m not expecting it to get back to yesterday’s price anytime soon. Gonna be along road home.

On another subject MTTR has been shellacked today on no news.  Looks like a big holder selling off.  I bought a bit more on the dip.  I like the technology and think it has a long runway.
:bowtie:

At least today.  Bought on Tuesday and it absolutely 🚀today.  HODLing.

Feel like Nike is due for another stock split.....

Let's do it.

I'll see myself out.
I just sold some stuff off today to clear some cash up. Was planning on holding a bit but will be using some for NKE for the long term hold.

Sold some SPOT (what a dog, finally back to even) and SVFAU (ugh) and bought SRUUF and URG.  Uranium bugs ahoy!

Today's 🚀.  Both of these are going nutso.  MTTR extending.  Apple, which I have a ton of, is in the  :toilet: .

As is typical I have way more of the latter than the former.

ATER has been on an absolute tear after hitting rock bottom.
I think it’s now a meme stock and probably had a decent amount of short interest. There’s no real news and they recently had a really bad earnings report (lost way more money than expected). The only thing I saw is that they are doing an AMC like reward for shareholders to get discounts on purchases. I’d assume they’ll be issuing some shares soon too.

Yea...i'm out now. Finally was able to make 5% and got the hell out.

I had it on my watch list and luckily didn’t add any, but I’m avoiding meme stocks like the plague. I don’t want to be holding a bad company on the hopes that someone else is trying to get in on a game and pay me more. I’m not a good timing guy especially since I can’t watch enough. I get a lot of info in here about long term options which is nice. The bottom will fall out eventually even if the meme pumps have given these bad companies extra life. I’d be the moron who jumps in while the pool is being drained after the tweet sends people to the next pool while I’m in the air.
