Why not just get NVDA or AMD? Why make it difficult? Yield chasing?
Because I think AMD and NVDA are overpriced and INTC is fairly priced.

That’s fair, but in this case I would just avoid
all of them and look somewhere else. Intel hasn’t demonstrated they can compete or are even close to being able to, so this just seems like a way of trying to force a chip trade just to do a chip trade.
It is my understanding INTC has a catalyst coming later this year with a new chip. I also believe that NVDA already has their next generations of chips priced in. Honestly, I don't know a ton about AMD.
INTC is a value trap.

Stay away. We have been out of INTC almost over 2 years now.

NVDA is a real story that will go for at a minimum for another 5 years easy (and in my estimation a decade more).

I know it sounds crazy but they are not a very expensive stock based on their very real and proven growth trajectory.

AMD on the other hand…..over valued heavily.

NVDA is the one selling the pick axes for the gold rush (AI).

Haven't read through the piece yet but see that Beth Kindig is out touting a $10T market cap prediction for NVDA. Wow.

Yeah the AI revolution is akin to the invention of electricity folks.

This is going to change the world as we know it over the next 15 years.

In positive ways and of course negatively as well.

@Bob Sacamano Are we still holding Docusign waiting for better days or in the words of the great Jamis Winston, is it time for me to eat some L's?
Oof. For many of my positions that get up that much, I'll put a trailing stop on them in case they go to #### unexpectedly. Selling at $300 would have been nice, obv. I got stopped out of it when it was falling through the $100s and haven't looked back at it since growth stalled. It looks like they're exploring a sale now. That's probably not a great sign. Sorry that didn't work out well.

(I won't be an ###hole and tell you we're still above what my original cost basis was) :oldunsure:

lol wtf that’s crazy. Not saying I don’t believe it but still.

Down 40% and trading halted. What a gong show.
Matter of time before this Roaring Kitty dude faces stock manipulation charges .
Has he sold anything? That’s the key imo.
How can a charge hold up?
Tweet and then massive sale that’s about the only way to try and even prove stock manipulation.

I don’t wanna get bogged down in a legal discussion in this thread, but we’ll see what happens.

I can’t believe I watched (FF’d a bunch) that YouTube special. There was as nothing in it. Based on his account, he’s got the options to sell soon. Those are up way more that the individual stock so he’ll sell those and make a huge amount and then he can continue to hold the shares, which would make him look like a non pumper.

Honestly, that’s a hell of a strategy. **** around holding shares and keep your army behind you and use the options to make the big money (like last time).

Bought some more Disney because I want to work forever.
Me too. Just doubled up on my position.
Thanks for pointing out Disney. I hadn't realized it dropped as much as it did.
I trimmed some NVDA at 300 and moved it to DIS. Nvidia position had ballooned with the recent run, so I scaled it back a bit with earnings AH today.

Painful to look back at something like this...

We've all been there.

Lol that’s all I can do.

This company is going nowhere except into an eventual bankruptcy. Matter of time.

Zombie company.

Anybody ever seen Dodds and Roaring Kitty in the same room? I'm just saying......
Was Dodds talking up NVIDIA years ago? Someone on here was and that's when I bought, but then I sold. Whoever it was probably owns an island.
I believe it was AgFeed, Vision ChinaMedia, and Asia Broadband.

While we are are on the subject, is there anyway to make the donuts sitting at the top of my account for years go away?

Yep, he was on it a decade +/- ago when it was in the teens or less. Kicking myself for never buying until now. All time great calls, maybe second only to CYDY. 😁

Wait, so NVDA is a pump-and-dump, too?

I have tried. I've called, emailed, whatever... nothing works (etrade).

It looks like I will always be reminded of the penny stock losers I bought.

But maybe it's good - it probably keeps me from buying others!

100% agree.

I got in @ $700, $900 and again @ $1,100. Plan on doing so again and again at every 10% or more dip.

Had to start a separate thread cause that’s all anyone wanted to talk about……..now 15 cents a share.

Definitely not profitable. Just wild.

I sold a pile at a bit over $9 and ended up well over double on CYDY.

CYDY forever!

Yep, I got out up $10k range. No complaints! If I only would have listened to Dodds about Nvidia though. 🙄

He's not doing himself any favors making statements like this: "I think we're going to see the S&P go down 86% from the top, and the Nasdaq 92%. A hero stock like Nvidia, as good as it is, and it is a great company, [goes] down 98%. Boy, this is over," Dent stressed.

:lmao: as with politics and sports takes, there are psychos everywhere

His Wikipedia page is a fun little read. Here's some highlights:

Criticism

  • According to Gene Epstein of Barron's Magazine, "Harry S. Dent Jr. knows how to sell books. But whether his stock-market strategies make sense—or money for investors—is another question."[12]
  • Jeffrey M. Laderman suggests in a Bloomberg Businessweek article that, "Harry's explanation of the stock market is a simple one that resonates with investors"..."But is it too simple to explain something as complex as the stock market and the economy?"[13]
  • Larry Swedroe, writing for CBS Money Watch asks, "Why do people listen to Harry Dent in light of his obvious inability to accurately predict the future?"[14]
  • Marketwatch Columnist Chuck Jaffe opines that, tell "people what they want to hear, and they will flock to your door."[15]
  • Dent has made many incorrect predictions.[2]

I'm vacating DNN as soon as the bell rings tomorrow with a decent overall gain but I think uranium is in for a deep slap in the face near term. Spot price falling like an autumn leaf right now.
Yeah, I was up over 30% on this one but the past few days have been rough. Still positive overall but gave up a lot of the gains I had this past week or so.

CPI pretty favorable. Now just need Powell to come out and say “We’re not cutting rates today, but next month money machines go brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr” and we’ll have ourselves a day.

ETA: I don’t actually think that will happen or even should happen
