Narcos is good but also pretty dang depressing. It helps for me to think every once in a while how the show would be different if Pablo were Nacho Libre.

Enjoying Oliver Stone's "Untold History of the United States".  Lots of little nuggets here and there, boy he doesn't care for Lyndon Johnson. I got a much different LBJ vibe from the Bryan Cranston HBO movie.
Only watched the first episode here (chronologically), but is it just me or is the background music so loud that it drains out the narrator in a lot of scenes? Very annoying and feels like I miss much of the dialogue.

White Rabbit Project features the three assistants or cohorts or whatever from Mythbusters, Torry, Grant, and Kerri. Pretty good. Each episode moves pretty quickly for a 45 minute show.

Wife and I watched 1st episode of Paranoid - typical British crime drama - set in small town with a murder mystery.

Have not seen Marcella, but it looks to be another in the British Crime Drama genre that we will try next.

Tried an episode of Hinterland. Felt like an almost.

Is it worth watching another?
I liked it but I like alot of these type of foreign shows just for cinematography and visuals of europe.

It's worth watching, not a huge investment and IIRC the storyline was creepy at times and we'll done.

Rectify now on Netflix.  Great binge and one of the most underappreciated shows in recent memory.

Season 4 and series finale actually this Wed.

Also Abigail Spencer.

Finale is on Netflix? We have watched as much as was available on Netflix but I didn't think it was over yet.

Hopefully Timeless gets renewed for a few more seasons so we continue to enjoy the view :)

We are 6 episodes into an 8-episode season.  Hard to like any of the characters, but lots of good plot twists.  Whole ####### town is nuts.
warning- I'm talking about the end of this, so don't read if you're not there yet.

it's negan.

I guess I liked it fine, but pretty quickly should be well beyond the scope of a small town police department. I don't see huckleberry bob getting sent to germany or anywhere else other than out for a couple of pastries. but I do want to be a quaker now. or is it shaker. whatever. the one with the sluts, not the furniture.

It ended rather quickly, and wrapped up a little too neatly.  Felt almost like they were filming for a 10-episode season, but only had the budget for 8.

I'm digging for holiday themed episodes of TV shows. Ranking of what I've found so far by show. Please suggest others.

1. Bojack Horseman holiday special - one of my favorite episodes of any TV show ever. Wonderful mix of nostalgia, cheese, and feels.
2. the Office (American) - the first (Yankee Swap) is the best, but they all are worth watching since the cast of characters was such a fun group to hang out with.
3. Arrested Development - season 1s episode is only okay, but the second one is great (Afternoon Delight).
4. the Wonder Years - the Cutlip Christmas one is funny and a few other are poignant. This is the first show I remember watching on the couch with my family, so bonus nostalgia points for that.
5. Cheers - I think there's only one Christmas episode (where Sam needs to find a gift for Rebecca) unless I'm missing others in the episode list

Next up: Parks and Rec (I think there are two available), X-files (I know of one episode with a Christmas theme)

Abed's Uncontrollable Christmas (Community Season 2) is awesome, if you're looking for suggestions.

The Always Sunny Christmas episode where Frank is hiding naked in a couch.

PeeWee's Playhouse Christmas Special from the late '80s (not the 2016 reboot) is on Netflix. Underrated gem.

- my brain isn't working, but I know South Park has done some good holiday episodes. mr poo... woodland creatures?

- Seinfeld Festivus.

- Arrested Development one you mentioned is great.

- MASH has some or one... saving a guy while klinger? is dressed as santa?

- Taxi had a couple IIRC.

I love RIcky Gervais' "Derek" on Netflix, and their Christmas episode was great.

Ren and Stimpy, where Stimpy searches for his fart, Stinky.

Curb your Enthusiasm with the live nativity scene.

Mr. poo?  Dude I am dissapoint...

Did someone already mention "The Night Manager"?

If not, here's a thumb up from me. Only 6 episode miniseries, rumours of a season 2

Nominated for a bunch of Golden Globes it seems

anybody watching The OA?

totally digging this so far through 3 or 4 episodes. the bizarro vibe of Stanger Things with a pinch of Sense8... a friend described it as breafast club on acid.

Yep watched the first three this w/e then ran into football.  Def like it so far.

End was the suckiest bunch of suck that ever sucked.
damn.

I powered through a few more episodes. the "5 movements" thing is pretty cringingly craptastic. didn't like that direction at all, but still enjoying it; your post doesn't give me a nice warm fuzzy though.

Mid way through Season 2 of The 100.  Current rankings:

1. The Wire

2. Sopranos

3. The 100

4. Mash

I thought this was going to be a chick show, but it's really a chick show with a whole lot of punches to the face.  It's like Gillmore Girls meets Sons of Anarchy meets Battlestar Gallactica.  HARD RECOMMEND.
