Dude what in the holy hell were they trying to do in the last couple of episodes.  Its almost like they tried to go the Leftovers route and failed miserably.  Horrible ending to a pretty decent series.  What were they thinking?
Yeah - can't disagree with this.  We really enjoyed the first two seasons and were excited for S3 to come out.  First few episodes were kind of like "ok, they are building up to a frantic ending" - then we got to the next to last episode and my wife and I were both  - I will say that the Sissy Spacek meltdown scene (you'll know when you get there) was epic.

Read somewhere that the Bloodline guys were told they just had Season 3 to finish things, instead of the planned 5-6 seasons.

Season 3 was pretty brutal for sure.

Sad.
I heard this too but come on - I think you and I could finish that series out better than that.

things got so damn confusing those last few episodes I'm not sure I really know what happened to several of the characters

John should have at least banged Megs oriental friend.

he's a sanitized, emasculated black man for white US consumption.
I dunno.  I enjoyed "The Real Husbands of Hollywood."  And I don't think I've seen his stand ups, but I have seen the "it's about to go down" bit he did for one of his stand ups, and thought it was pretty hilarious.

I've never really seen him do anything outside of a movie here or there. just felt like being uppity.

I just finished Master of None:
Question about the ending...

Does he get the girl? I think he does but they throw so many curveballs to make the viewer think that a sad ending is coming (Jeff being a perv, Rachel makes an appearance, Francesca about to leave with Pino). And the last bed shot only lasted about a second.

Also, I wonder if Chef Jeff isn't really the bad guy that people are making him out to be.

If you are talking about the lady I think you are then she was the one who bailed Danny (and Ozzy) out of jail.

right you are cotton but who in the hell is she like is she a relative is she some product of an affair total whooshville for this bromigo take that to the bank

Two episodes into The Keepers.   Very disturbing.
I'm wholly sympathetic towards the sexual abuse victims represented in this documentary, but this is a 60 Minutes segment stretched out over 7 hours - PASS. That said, the lady prosecutor who shirked her responsibilities deserves a #### punt.

Their search brought up nothing, only "related to doctor strange"

That link worked though
No worries.  I tend to react harshly when called a liar since honesty is important to me.  Definitely recommend watching the movie.  I really liked it.

So bloodline...I've loved it from the start and this last season so far is insanely intense and good. This show doesn't seem to get enough respect imo. It's not Better Call Saul but I'd only put it one tier lower imo.

Review stolen from Reddit about Bloodline season 3:

I was waiting for The Fonz to jump over a shark in the background with how crazy and stupid it went

Alternate ending for Bloodline:

Everyone is going to hate the ending, so lets try to come up with something better.

My submission is that John is actually the one who took Sarah out on the boat when she drowned.  This could work because John and Danny were the only 2 who were around when the boat left the doc.  When John came back alone, Danny could have covered for John (either on purpose, or the Dad blamed Danny as the 'bad kid', or John ran when the boat got back and Danny was on the boat when the Dad asked where Sarah was... whatever.  The Dad pummels Danny instead of John and the brothers keep it between them forever.

Danny being a good guy in reality but perceived as a bad guy and John actually being much worse than he actually was -- that's a nice twist and a better ending that the crap we got.

They added several American Experiences recently.  Last night we watched the one on Orson Welles' production of War of the Worlds in '38.  The actor "interviews" were a little annoying, but AE does a great job with informative docs.

"Samurai Jack" is on Hulu (well first 4 seasons). It's a fun, animated series by the same guy that did "Dexter's Laboratory". It's not amazing animation but it uses it really well for the purposes of storytelling.

Hot damn, Bloodline is intense. I'm on ep6 and will probably finish today. Screw work, or eating. My stomach is in knots watching this ####.

Movies, preferably old ones. I'd happily watch Saving Private Ryan today but it's not on Netflix. Might do Inglorious Basterds but that's not really a war movie. Our nephew visiting would probably like it though.

Anyone see The Longest Day with John Wayne?
The Longest Day is pretty good.

Anyone else watch Generation War?  I thought it was okay.

I watched Ep 1 this weekend based on the recommendations in this thread. I'm very intrigued as to what the hell happened to the family. I think 2-3 episodes a week for me is about right for this kind of show.
The trailers weren't interesting and it's probably why I didn't consider it earlier.

My social studies/history teacher back in middle school was kinda lazy so she had us watch these on PBS and write a report on them. I think I learned more from the shows than in the class.

After season 3 episode 6, delete it from your playlist and never speak of it again. YWIA

Does "Better Call Saul" pick up the pace after the first season? I watched season 1 and loved the acting (also a big Breaking Bad fan) but I didn't care for the story much.
