Streaming or currently airing TV shows (AKA Netflix thread) (6 Viewers)

Watched the Sandler - Stiller - Hoffman dramedy Meyerowitz Stories last night. It won't be everyone's cup of tea but I thought it was really well acted and directed. Dialog was very good too. Tried to be pretentious but stopped just short on the right side of sincerity for me. If it was pretentious, it was self - conscious and - deprecating enough to be annoying about it.

I thoroughly enjoyed it.
The reviews I've seen for this have been very good. I didn't realize it was a Netflix movie, I thought it was going to theaters. Excited to watch this soon.

It was ok but I didn't like it enough to finish the season. I think I had like 2 or 3 episodes left but never felt the desire to finish it.
I agree. I finished it but was just luke warm on the season. The monster thing was corny. Eleven was awesome but everything else felt loose and... dare I say... Lost-esque.

The Last Kingdom season 2 is up. More of the same through two episodes. Not amazing but I enjoy it.
Started watching this out of the blue a few days ago , hadn't ever heard of it but I tend to like these kind of shows so thought I'd check it out. Only about 5 episodes into first season and I'm really liking it.

For the Stranger Things crowd. Do  you know if they start S2.1 with any type of backstory or review or should we watch S1 last episode again just to get our details in order?

Watched episode 1 with the whole family (6yo & 10yo)... first time we've done that. Great start, but the family viewing means we can't binge.

I usually don’t like the supernatural stuff, but it’s hard to ignore the reviews.  I guess I’ll queue ST up.

Stranger things season 2 somehow was able to keep that feeling from season 1.  There's just something about this show.  I like the additions of Sean Austin and Paul reiser too.

GF and I watched season 2 of Daredevil (13 episdoes) in one day when it was released
I couldn't watch 13 hours of tv in a day, let alone a single show. I don't think I've ever watched more than 2 episodes of a show in a row but I realize I'm in the minority here.

Who has that kind of time? 13 hours - are they in high school?
Only time we have done that. I work M-F 830-600 and GF Works M-F and every other Sat. Just happened to have a Saturday where she was  Off and didn't have anything going on. No kids so don't have to worry about that.

it is fun to do that once a year I think. We ordered pizza in and then later ordered from Insomnia cookies. IIIRC s was In March so not great weather wise here in NE Ohio

it was kind of a perfect storm of a day and hasn't happened again but would definitely do it again if it set up perfectly again

Ok, that's cool but even you admit it's not a normal activity. Even if I watch sports all day, I'm going out to grill or to the store. Maybe going on the computer for a bit. Sports doesn't require full attention like a tv show does.

It's all good. With a noreaster coming in tomorrow I expect to have the tv on most of the day.
