No. Amazon had it but not anymore. Top 5 all-time show for me.All but Mad Men (not interested) or The Shield (keep forgetting about it; is it streamable?)
Halt and Catch Fire is great...I think you'd dig it.

Over/under on orgy scenes?
Thanks for this watched the first episode tonight really enjoyed it.My daughter was born missing a chromosome. She is 34 and will always be with us.To know Megan is to love Megan. This show brings back a lot of memories. There's a show on Netflix that just aired last August starring Micheal Rappoport called Atyical. It's a dark comedy about an autistic HS student with Aspergers (Which I have) and came across the show accidentally while on Vacation in Toronto trying to find something to watch before I went to bed. It's a dark comedy that shows the struggles of both family and person dealing with the issue but has a comedic relief to it. My dad it's hard to get him to laugh at TV these days but this show had him cracking up within the first episode. Only this and Big Bang really get him going. Season 2 is approve and should be out around the same time in the summer.
I also just finished Turned on Netflix that was a very good show about General Washington and the first American Spies.
Just watched the first season of Halt & Catch Fire last weekend. It took a few episodes to get into it. But it started rolling. Looking forward to binging the next 3 seasons over the next 3 weekends.Looking for a new drama to start. Based on discussions in here I think top choices are Bloodline, Halt and Catch Fire, and Fortitude.
Any thoughts?
Breaking Bad or The Wire.If you could erase one series from your memory so you could watch it again, what would it be?
For me, Breaking Bad or The Shield.
Dr. Foster. Duh.If you could erase one series from your memory so you could watch it again, what would it be?
For me, Breaking Bad or The Shield.
Its a character driven show and can be a slow burn early. It's definitely not the type of show that will grab you early.Does the Wire take some time to catch steam? I've tried watching several episodes, but it hasn't caught me as amazing television yet. I want to like it and get into it, but maybe my expectations are too high (though people regularly say it is one of the best shows ever, so I guess high expectations are warranted).

I knew you'd come around! I mean she was a doctor and there was cheating and drama and stuff. Awesome!
It took me about 4 or 5 episode to really get into it. The show doesn't blow you away immediately, it's an accumulation of greatness that grows over time.Does the Wire take some time to catch steam? Six Feet Under or the SopranosIf you could erase one series from your memory so you could watch it again, what would it be?
Its first season was 5 years ago.Just started Broadchurch. Excellent pallet cleanser after The Rain. But it begs the question: is every show now required to be about a child in peril?
So it’s to blame? Its first season was 5 years ago.![]()
Really? I couldn't make it through the second season. Seemed like the same plot points over and over. Should I revisit?Franknbeans said:Six Feet Under
No not really. Broken logic all over the place. I likely won’t come back for season 2.This any good?
The last few episodes were poignant if you can make it through the rest.Really? I couldn't make it through the second season. Seemed like the same plot points over and over. Should I revisit?

The fascinating thing about this show, to me, is that there really isn't any main character. Pretty unique in that sense, imo.comfortably numb said:Its a character driven show and can be a slow burn early. It's definitely not the type of show that will grab you early.
Having so may different characters to keep up with early also adds to the slow burn as they are developing several characters and story archs but the beauty of the show is how each character is so well done and how their stories are all somehow intertwined.
By the middle to end S1 you should start taking a liking to many of the characters. Then S2 starts are you may scratch your head a bit but dont go in thinking the show is amazing because of the plot or action. Your learning about 30-50 characters playing their own game.
It's like game of thrones in the hood...without dragons.. if you will.

Honestly things probably slow down if anything after S1.Bull Dozier said:Does the Wire take some time to catch steam? Loved this show, though a lot of it was the accents. I love various accents from the Isles.Just started Broadchurch. Excellent pallet cleanser after The Rain. But it begs the question: is every show now required to be about a child in peril?
I wish this was streamed somwhere. I was a little too young to enjoy it on its run, but don't want to shell out the hundreds it would take to buy the DVDs these days.Hill Street Blues
I didn't think BB was as slow a burn. Walter caught me instantly as a character, and I didn't feel like I needed to take notes as the show went on to keep everyone straight.Honestly things probably slow down if anything after S1.
I like slow burns. But this one just never caught me like BB, GoT, True Detective, etc.

This is a series I predict most people under 30 haven't seen or even heard of.Hill Street Blues
Joyce Davenport was mighty yummy. I seem to recall her as my go-to when I was up for being dominated.Hill Street Blues
I think that Mindy from Mork & Mindy was my first TV crush.Joyce Davenport was mighty yummy. I seem to recall as my go-to when I was up for being dominated.
She'll be 75 this year![]()
Based on recommendations by Footballguys in this forum I watched The Wire for 3 1/2 seasons before finally quiting. It was average at best, I had to force myself to watch and I never looked forward to the next episode. Breaking Bad is my all time favorite, I was hooked from the start.Bull Dozier said:Does the Wire take some time to catch steam? I got in a big argument with somebody on line who said Law and Order had more influence on cops shows. I told where do you think L&O got their influence. This is a series I predict most people under 30 haven't seen or even heard of.
Exactly. Hill Street Blues practically invented the idea of showing cops' flaws and personal lives.I got in a big argument with somebody on line who said Law and Order had more influence on cops shows. I told where do you think L&O got their influence.
Although to be fair, Barney Miller did that first.Exactly. Hill Street Blues practically invented the idea of showing cops' flaws and personal lives.
