"The Informant!" with Matt Damon. A very minor Soderbergh film for sure. It's kind of a mess in terms of storytelling but still amusing. Reading more about the story behind Damon's character and I can see why it got Soderbergh's attention.
You say it's a mess, but I found it very entertaining.

Atypical season 2 now available.
Wife and I were late to this show. Though I had read a lot about it in here just never got to it, always something else to watch. Boy did we miss out. We watched the first season a few months ago and loved it. Binged the entire season 2 this past Saturday. What an enjoyable, sweet, funny show.

I like anything that's well done but typically I seek out a different type of show (Last Kingdom, Frontier, Vikings on prime, for example). I was really surprised I enjoyed this so much. Can't wait for S3.

Public service announcement: watch the 100 season 5. Then go buy a casket for yourself because you’re done... At least until season 6 drops!

This Get Shorty show on Epix is actually pretty good.  Reminds me a bit of Fargo.  I don't remember the movie at all, but I don't think this is much like it.

So any of these shows got some good T&A?  Maybe not Game of Thrones levels but some moments here and there to go with a good show? Yes, asking for me.

On a different note:

Watched "Love"  decent show and I enjoyed it despite pretty much disliking everyone but the lead chick and one of the supporting guys.

Will also recommend Fabulous Mrs Maisel.  Great characters, her onstage rants turn into epic comedy routines, great side characters and a lot of fun.

Last Chance U. A documentary about a junior college football program (East Mississippi Community College) and their quest for a National Championship. Mind boggling how much of their culture is defined by football. Lots of cast offs from Division 1 programs trying to get back to that level or just make something out of their lives and all of the struggles that entails. Oh and Brittany has a sweet dumper.

I have just the show for you. It's called Porn Hub.
Prefer Red Tube.  But also want some good stories.

Seen some of Spartacus.  Not bad and very GoT like.

Heard good things about Altered Carbon, may have to add that

...and now you'll hear bad things:

Altered Carbon is a poorly-acted show that would likely appeal to teens rather than adults.
I gave up after 4-5 episodes. The acting is terrible. The plot is convoluted. Sure there's nudity, but (and while I hate to say it) it's too much nudity. It distracts from the story and there's plenty of other places to see it - here and there is fine but when the main character has naked women popping out all over while walking down the street, ok we get it the city is full of debauchery.

I couldn't finish the first episode. It was pretty terrible across the board, imo. The very opposite - as sci fi shows go at least - might be "The Expanse". I like it but it is not in my regular rotation.

Acting is so terrible in most TV shows.

I know that people like to look at pretty faces. But I'd rather watch a plain-looking person that can act than a runway model with no talent.

I liked it, but

It's the typical "we're on a journey and run into trouble along the way" movie with some "we're not so different after all" mixed in.  310 to Yuma and plenty of others.  Still worth a watch because there are some other not-so-typical things mixed in.

Somewhat forgettable, I had to read the description because I thought I had seen it on a flight. Worth watching but yeah, nothing groundbreaking.

Anybody watching that Sean Penn Mars show on Hulu? The first, iirc?

Watched the pilot and it felt a bit snoozey. Not sure what the direction of the show is supposed to be and lots of pregnant pauses so far without much going on (other than the main plot "action" which felt like I'd already seen and didn't need to see so played out.

There is only one shot of T in this show, but it is

Just started American Vandal season 2 :lmao:

I'm not sure what it says about my maturity level, but I can't help but giggle every time the term "turd burgular" is uttered.

The Bad Batch

I don't even know what to say about it
Watched it last nite and you are correct- no words can describe. My wife who is a post apocalyptic fanatic and loves Walking Dead only lasted 15 minutes before retreating to another room.

I did find it engaging enough to finish it. Beeeezzzzaaarrrrooooo!

Atypical still great in Season 2. Smart, funny and poignant.  Starting to be one of my favorite Netflix shows ever.
I wasn't as all-in as everybody else, but I liked S1 when I first watched it. decided to watch S2, and somehow hit the wrong button and ended up watching the middle of S1 again instead- better than I remember giving it credit for. looking forward to finding time to watch S2.

When that Venice Beach weight lifter scene was revealed, I immediately questioned the strength of my edible.

Well, someone asked about Netflix shows with nudity, and here you go. This is a straight up porno with a lot of real acting in between.

the First. We've watched two more episodes. Still snoozey. Feel like they're trying to go with some Malick nature vs man themes along with some of his pacing and long shots of groups of animals in movement. And shoehorned black lesbians and addict family member in peril. For a show about a trip to Mars, there doesn't feel like theres much about the trip to Mars yet. I'm sure I'm missing the melodrama here while waiting for more....anything.

I've sold you all on this by now, I'm sure.

Not giving up on it yet, but...

Thanks for the timesaver on that one @El Floppo
I haven't given up on it yet- I like the cast, the near-future sci-fi aspect is there and kind of interesting, and the subject matter should materialize into something. the writing is a bit heavy-handed in places but too subtle in others. I'm still intrigued and hoping for it to find it's feet.... I'll keep you updated.
