Watching Dracula now. The first episode was pretty great. The tone and look are in line with old school dracula but with a modern spin.
Digging it.
Digging it.
Are you thirsty for more?Through 2 1/2 of the 3 episodes of Dracula. Each one is 90 minutes I think. Loving it.
It is decent. Watch it on the treadmill. More just filler thann dying to watch the next episode type show.I got through 3-4 episodes of season 1 of The Expanse and just didn't get the love. What am I missing?
Maybe it's my old age- I dont get the comment of having it in the background. I had trouble following all the different planets and factions at the start of the show, and took me a hot minute to piece how they fit together. It is decent. Watch it on the treadmill. More just filler thann dying to watch the next episode type show.
It gets a little bit better as series goes along but you are not missing anything.
Did not love the last half hour of the series.Through 2 1/2 of the 3 episodes of Dracula. Each one is 90 minutes I think. Loving it.
Going to do some Nov/Dec review here...some I’ve already hit on...
The Irishman - watched this 3 times. Gets better with each viewing. For a 3.5 hour movie, never felt bored and appreciated the pacing
Mrs. Maisel - 3rd season was the weakest of the three seasons. Still very strong, but certain plot devices felt forced to keep certain characters involved/relevant.
Marriage Story - said this before but exceptional. Next level filmmaking.
Mandalorian - Good. Not really all that compelling.
Dolemite - Awesome. Best thing Eddie Murphy has ever done.
Tell Me Who I Am - one of the most devastating documentaries I’ve ever seen. You need to prepare yourself prior to watching.
Dracula - first episode was phenomenal. I’m not a Dracula fan either...
wOw - just looked it up. It's on Netflix and it's from the same network & production team that brought us Sherlock. AND I AINT HEARD A FRIKKIN THANG ABOUT IT?!?!What is this Dracula thingy on?
3 episodes into Messiah. Same here.I'm 1.25 episodes in. I quite like it so far.
The best ever Eddie Murphy is probably always going to be Delirious for me.Dolemite - Awesome. Best thing Eddie Murphy has ever done.
Uhhh what?I tried Peaky Blinders a few years ago and couldn't get past episode 1. What am I missing?
If you have HBO check out Who Killed Garrett Phillips?Holidays are over, so it's time to watch other stuff...something about January brings me to true crime docs. Confession Killer was very well done...incredibly frustrating depiction of shoddy police work and corruption.
Just watched this. Its quite good. But very difficult to watch.Tell Me Who I Am - one of the most devastating documentaries I’ve ever seen. You need to prepare yourself prior to watching.
Netflix?Through 2 1/2 of the 3 episodes of Dracula. Each one is 90 minutes I think. Loving it.
pretty excellent series so far....the only real issue understanding the actors was tom hardys one...might as well of had marbles in his mouthDamn, envy you
lol yep. that one was toughpretty excellent series so far....the only real issue understanding the actors was tom hardys one...might as well of had marbles in his mouth
subtitles made this series for me.pretty excellent series so far....the only real issue understanding the actors was tom hardys one...might as well of had marbles in his mouth
they’re not for everyone, but I’m glad I did itBinky The Doormat said:subtitles made this series for me.
Loved "The Take"!!Just starting Peaky Blinders as well, but seeing the words "Hardy" and "marbles in his mouth" immediately made me think of him in The Take -- one of the most chilling and incredible performances I've seen Hardy in to date.
I believe it may still be available on Prime.
I don't get the love for The Irishman. I think the story was simply a slightly different retelling of Casino, and the CGI made it completely unwatchable for me. I mean, I applaud making DeNiro look young but when that character is walking around with the stiffened, arthritic gait and mannerisms of a 76 year old, why even bother erasing wrinkles and liver spots?

BJ Horseman is awesome.Bojack Horseman is good? Seriously? I saw it listed and flipped past it.
Wrapped it up. Tailed off the last couple eps, but overall a funny, decent and easy enough watch...as long as you don't mind subtitles. ValeI started watching El Vecino, a Netflix Spanish slacker superhero comedy and so far (after 2x 30 min eps) recommend it.
This has been consistently good about 4-5 in. Interesting combo of fact/history and sci-fi. Learned about an actual amazing woman astronaut, Molly Cobb, who never actually got to space fly, but in reality did one amazing flying thing after another here on earth. Interesting character and arc in the show.Started the Apple show, For All Mankind- alternative reality space race. So far, completely enjoyable- liking it quite a bit.
I thought the last episode was horribleFinished Dracula last night. Good to the last drop.
Wife and I finished it last night. The ending was anti-climatic, but a fun show. One thing that did bother me throughout, possibly irrationally, was how bite wounds were displayed. They didn’t look like bites at allFinished Dracula last night. Good to the last drop.
Oh that’s on Hulu? I need to watch thatMy butthole puckers a little when I see American remakes of foreign movies coming out. I enjoyed the hell out of the movie, so I will encourage people with Hulu to check out Force Majeure . The remake will be popular since it has Will Farrell and Julia Louis-Dreyfus, but I can't think of more than 1 or 2 American remakes that are better than the originals.
At the very least its interesting to compare the originals vs American. I feel a movie club double feature brewing...Oh that’s on Hulu? I need to watch that
The wife and I also, just finished season 1 and really liked it. Hope the following seasons are just as good. Finally watching Atypical. So good. Lots of great characters. Zahid and Casey's boyfriend are two of the best parts of the show.
I never used subtitles - it was difficult at first but after a while you pick up the "language".Yeah I might need to try again with this suggestion. I got 3 episodes in and was so frustrated I couldn’t understand anything I gave up. Don’t want to have to read my TV, but man everyone seems to love this show.
What was the 1st season about?I also liked the second season of Castle Rock on Hulu. The first season was good too, but I really enjoyed the most recent season. Fun show with lots of Stephen King characters / references. 2nd season built around a young version of Kathy Bates character in Misery.
Hard to explain without giving up too many spoilers. Basically a strange guy emerges in town and bad/crazy stuff follows him wherever he goes. Set in the same locations as many King stories with references to those storylines. What was the 1st season about?
