For some reason I thought it was shorter- 6 episodes or so. I saw there were 10, and jumped ship.Well played. I stuck around for the finale and regret it.

TD season 3 was solidTrue Detective (only Season 1) and Six Feet Under
I watch cbs all access on my Roku TV all the time.Is there no way to watch cbs all access other than your computer or phone?
Can one stream it to the tv from the phone or computer like with Disney?
I enjoyed it but I didn't think someone who gave up on The Wire would.TD season 3 was solid
It’s like a parade of Florida Men.Finished "Tiger King" last night. Meh. Like a very poor man's Errol Morris. Growing up in the South, I have come into contact with way too many of those types of people.
https://www.justwatch.com/us/search?q=Ken burnsAre most of the Ken Burns docs streaming?
I know I have the baseball one in the queue, but not sure what else is available on the main services.
I did like TD season 3 as wellTrue Detective (only Season 1) and Six Feet Under
I think Friends is going to be on HBO maxIs there one with only a couple characters and one plot to keep track of?

Westworld or The Leftovers for dramaLooking for a new HBO series to start watching. Already did Sopranos and Game of Thrones. Tried The Wire but cut bait as not very good.
Weeds? Veep?

We wrapped it up last night. We watched another one or two and I agree...pretty decent.I watched it all (7 Episodes)
Pretty good IMO and worth watching. There are some Walking Dead type decisions being made at times but has some good tension and drama.
I was actually looking forward to watching it tonight.
The Wire is “not very good”!?Looking for a new HBO series to start watching. Already did Sopranos and Game of Thrones. Tried The Wire but cut bait as not very good.
Weeds? Veep?
As has been mentioned, TD season three is also really good.True Detective (only Season 1) and Six Feet Under
We wrapped it up last night.
Except there were 8 episodes in my version.![]()
It's slow and ponderous, but looks good, is well acted and does a decent job with the story and interesting ending/setup for S2 (I read it was supposed to be in production already, but who knows w C19).
Some quibbles
There are so few of those robodogs, they don't really scare me. Probably a budget thing. Like TWD, these things make a lot of noise, so a ninja stealth mode that keeps happening is a stretch (although they do have range). And speaking of their range...do they have in infinite amount of bullets? I didn't see them carrying backpacks. It's also not clear how these things find their prey...but I guess I'm ok with that.
Blind girl's observations- do you hear/feel that?- are dismissed so frequently, even the explanation by mom (previous hallucinatory episodes) doesn't hold up. She can seemingly control one of them and there's very little interest in how or why. If I'm there...that would be my only interest, and I wouldn't let her teenage girl whine out of explaining it completely.
thanks I thought it ended really, really abruptlylol... I think you actually did miss the last episode.thanks I thought it ended really, really abruptly
Spoilerish stuff below people besides El Flop....
They were on a basketball court/gym and with Gabriel Byrne his wife and the blind girl and something major happened. I’ll receheck my service.
Will have to read your quibbles after I watch.
Without reading yours the thing that drives me nuts is they just walk around in daylight in the middle of the street and the creatures are really bad shots.
I do think they build tension well and I was legit getting anxious in multiple scenes. The build up in the 1st episode was best part of the series for sure.
Whatever size room that is, I don't want to be in it.Lots of former female cast members would disagree. Not many stand-up juggernauts in that group.
I think Villasenor has the stuff to be one of those "fill a big room" comedians that people actively seek out. Not Kevin Hart / Dane Cook / Dice Clay size rooms, but enough to be the next new thing.
I enjoy Ali Wong's work too. She's got a parallel with Amy Schumer as the more famous she gets the less funny she gets.
A sleeper for the next big female comic coming down the pike is Melissa Villasenor. Her clips on YouTube are worth a search.
Dane cook gets #### but he has sold out MSG and has made like 30 mill..Whatever size room that is, I don't want to be in it.
Never like Schlesinger... She shouldn't have won the last comic standing season imoShe's got a parallel with Amy Schumer as the more famous she gets the less funny she gets.

Season 2 on Netflix. FWIW my wife is not a soccer fan and was engrossed in this and the first season. Some great characters in this one, particularly on the ownership side.Sunderland Til I Die: fantastic docuseries that tells the story of an iconic English football club’s first season (2017-18) after being relegated (demoted) from the top pro league. The team continues tp struggle. The series focuses a lot on the reactions of the working class fanbase and support staff and less so on the players which I think is unique. Highly recommend.
Larry the Cable Guy has probably made a lot of $ too. That doesn't mean he's a good comedian.Dane cook gets #### but he has sold out MSG and has made like 30 mill..
And The Big Bang Theory was the #1 show for a decade and the Kardashians grow money trees. People like bad stuff in large numbers, that never changes.Dane cook gets #### but he has sold out MSG and has made like 30 mill..

2 episodes in. Really loving the ambiance created by the music and scenery. It moves slow...really chill even though the story builds up quickly.Tales from the Loop (prime) looks interesting based on the trailer.
We started this the other night. Decent start, but we were both tired so stopped midway through ep1. The art direction is an interesting mix of 1950s meets 2020.2 episodes in. Thanks to this post I watched Gator this morning. I think for the first time since we saw it in the theater in my high school years.Gator (the sequel to above) mater meter hated it and I can understand why. Burt's directorial debut. Some scenes drag on ridiculously. However, Jerry Reed's Bama McCall steals every scene (sorry Burt). And the huge guy driving around with his head sticking out of the sun roof is worth a bit of the price of admission.
yeah they basically turned him into a Navy Seal. It was mildly entertaining.Jack Ryan Season 1 was good.
Season 2 is...Not.
Depending on the type of TV you like Catch 22, High Fidelity and Looking For Alaska were good.Is there any original content on Hulu that is worth the trouble?
And by trouble, I mean using my son;s account to log in
I like Handmaids Tale. Other than that, its mostly used for FX shows for us. A handful of decent movies. Is there any original content on Hulu that is worth the trouble?

I also hope the stories come together in the final episode...I'm still mostly in for the atmosphere, but I also want to eventually wrap with a fully formed world. We're though 3.
It's like the movie Slackers (Linkletter) as twighlight zone episodes. The eps feel a little long for each story, but so far the stories are interesting- even if they each seem to end in a twighlight zone punch line. Hoping for more that ties this all together beyond following a smaller character from the previous episode.
Eta... And the music/score- it's nice. I can't place it, but really think it's stolen or heavily lifted from somewhere.
The music, especially the opening theme, remind me of Ink, a tiny independence movie where the director made all of the music. Perhaps he was inspired by Philip Glass, so now I'm actually hearing the originalWe're though 3.
