Lost is in my top 5 all-time shows. I just binged Silo over the weekend and it’s really recapturing a lot of the same feel for me, but I suspect this will play out better long term as it’s actually based on a book series. I’ve got the books reserved at the library and will read the first one when it comes available in a couple weeks.

Mrs. General was laid up last week so I took week off to be nurse...so have watched a lot of TV.
Have seen all those but "Day of the Jackal". Enjoyed them all. Probably in the order you had em.
Also did "Based on a True Story" on Peacock and it was watchable.

Been rewatching this on work trips which are pretty much done for the year. Made it to middle of Season 2 and has been for the most part pretty great. Aged well so far. Will start back up next year.
I do remember it sucking in the middle but I didn't mind the end as far as I can remember. Had forgotten many of the small details or how they got to the big reveals so that has been enjoyable. Really big one coming up at some point that is still far away that I'm looking forward to seeing even though I know it is coming.

Upgrading “A Man on the Inside”. Hadn’t finished it yet. Wrapped it up tonight, those last couple episodes were very sweet for lack of a better term. Very nice ending. Hopefully they do another season.

Ok, Im equal parts terrified and falling out of my chair with excitement... Just found out Netflix is showing a 100 Years of Solitude miniseries!
Garcia Marquez reportedly refused to allow its use in film and TV. His sons agreed after his death to allow a long form miniseries, provided it was filmed in Colombia in Spanish.
This will be in 16 parts and no big English language stars. Starts Dec 11... No idea if it's a big bingeable drop or weekly. I kinda hope weekly.

I would think his wife wouldn't like to watch a show like ER while at work but that's not really a comedy. Maybe Scrubs?, Grey's Anatomy? Cops? I would think anything that reminded her of work would get it done.

Both Neda and Kyra throwing each other names out to everyone that would listen.
Very vocal round table from lots of parties. Half expected them to choose wrongly on Lauren.

This was one of the best episodes of any edition of Traitors that I have seen. It was almost certainly the best Roundtable.

Recalling Kyra's detest of Michael taking the $5k for a shield because people (her) only make $35k in a year. Got around to looking at her brother's YouTube parkour site - he's really good for re-enacting movie stunts. Has 25 mil subscribers, so he's making more than sis just on ads. Makes more sense why he's 'just playing for her to win.'
Still want him to lose, but can see 'the why' he's playing for sis. He's losing money every day playing the game and not producing content. D'oh!

My teenage daughter is trying to get me to watch Outer Banks (Netflix). After the first one, all I could think about is how much I hate teenagers.
Someone please tell me that it gets better and that I don’t have to sit through it just to spend quality time with my kid—though I suppose that after having made her watch gems like License to Drive and Roxanne, I owe it to her.

Watched "Buy Now: The Shopping Conspiracy" on Netflix.
I knew a lot of this was going on, but I'm still shocked at the wastefulness produced by our consumption culture. I knew corporations were incentivized to sell more and sell upgrades, but I was naive to the damage it causes to the planet.

I rotate my streaming options based on sales. Black Friday is the time usually. Havent had HBO, now Max, for a year or so. 3 dollars a month for 6 months is gonna pull me back in. Just saw peacock was offered for 20 bucks for the year. Had it for years and just nothing to watch so I'll pass on that great deal. Hulu 99 cents a month for a year. Never had Hulu. 12 bucks for a year of it? Damn. Any other great black Friday deals for streamers?

I read these books as a kid so I was somewhat excited for this watch. They've been made into movies before - some decent, some not so. I liked that this story would be a series - though I don't recall the plot actually being from a book I read (I only recognized the Soneji reference). The show itself wasn't bad and I stayed interested, though I was definitely ready for it to end. The "twists" and plotlines where you just have to suspend belief for a bit are actually consistent with my memories of the books, but I think it doesn't play quite as well on screen. The show was actually more violent and gory at points than I thought it needed to be. I still enjoyed it, and the actor playing Sampson (the best friend) was good and fit my juvenile imagination of what he would look like when I read the books, and the actor playing the main character was fine (I had always pictured him a bit older), but some of the character arcs I thought were a bit off. And, frankly, I very much agree with a prior poster in this thread that stated that he believed there was something "off" about the show. I agree - even though I can't quite put my finger on it.
Summary: Watched like an Apple show where it's perfectly good enough to be entertained but definitely has its flaws and frustration and suspension of belief. Worth watching? Yes. Imperative TV viewing? No. Give it a binge if you have some down time.

ETA: Not exactly what you're asking about, but Audible is 3 months at $1/month, plus a $20 credit. I do this every Black Friday (new Stormlight book comes out in a couple weeks).

Started it today.
It's basically 'The Circle' (7 US seasons + 3 other countries as well) with the added twist of talking to each other face-to-face and trying to avoid saying anything that they did in the chat. +Simple challenges that shouldn't reveal too much if smart. Another difference is The Circle is highly positive/suck up-ish and The Anonymous is meant to be negative/confrontational.
Not too bad thus far, nor vicious yet.

Yeah, I'm curious what's gonna happen to the final four, and if they know in advance how many will split the cash.
I think they should let the first to summit choose a partner, with whom to share the prize. The other two go home with an awesome experience, but no cash.
Also, the finale preview mentioned people voted off will have a say in the prize. A couple of them, including Dusty and the person just booted, seem pretty salty, so it should be interesting.

Got the Max deal so we can watch Penguin. Probably also watch Hacks and House of the Dragon. Maybe Mare of Eastown. Was hoping Dune: Prophecy would be good but the reviews are meh. Think that's it. Would be nice if The Last of Us season 2 would release before our 6 months ends but I doubt it.

The higher they get, the higher the drop height on the crossings. Single rope to pull themselves over this time. Strongest fell. Gotta like some of the techniques each used to get themselves mentally across (saying family member names on each arm pull, etc).
BeckyLee showed her hand by running for the Mountain Keeper bag when her closest ally was in front to get it and she dove to try to stop him (Nick). Red flag alert.

She had final 2 alliances with nearly all - and Nick called her Dennis 2.0 for biggest liar. 4-1 vote to send BeckyLee home and take her portion of the money.
Entire episode had them all speaking in 'final 2' scenarios.

Plot Twist: the ousted contestants will be waiting for them... and get to vote for the winner(s) AND how much of the total $$$ sum they get. So the final 2 alliances may not even matter. Noice! (heavy on the oi)

I also just got Max deal this morning. Haven't had since House of Dragon season 1 ended. No better feeling then that first 10 minutes of a new streaming site adding to watch list. Here's what I found at first glance. Pretty happy

Not sure I liked changing the avatars three times. Game climax had little to do with the show name.

Favorite character was Jack. Always analytical, scheming, back-stabbing his closest ally when online, and supportive when in person. Cool mix.
Finale was meh. Didn't really care for the luck of the boxes to determine a winner. Show is called 'The Anonymous'.
Did it come down to getting other people's avatars right? Nope.
Did it come down to being the most hidden / anonymous? Nope.
Basically not much anonymous for end game.
Came down to box pick order. 3rd pick out of 4 has the most options to see who is lying or not. Nina explains why in a post game interview I read.
Pre-finale: Wish they dug more into Jack's suspicion that Nina was the daughter of an all-time Survivor great (Sandra) and been in Survivor AU twice herself. Only got a little hint later on where she mentions her mom is not a physical threat, but dad in the military would have been. Her mother didn't win twice as a physical threat and wore her husband's camo cap. Dead give away if anyone watched and listened. Should have been the biggerr threat than the Big Brother winner - who announces that he's from BB from the onset - bad move, big target.

There’s an Anonymous subreddit and Jack showed up there, essentially doing an impromptu AMA. That’s worth reading if you haven’t already.
