The way I see it, you need to get yourself in a position to have an opprotunity for several players to blow up and not hang your hat on one $70 horse. Everyone betting the farm on the "multi stud RB" theory is probably going to be in for a pretty rude awakening in a couple of weeks, as you cant afford to "plan" on sitting high cost players every week (in the case of more studs than starter slots at a position on a roster). Someone posted above that this does NOT get won by using the same strategy you use to win your weekly lineup league. I toyed with the idea of plugging in a lineup that had LT in it and eventually decided against it because it degraded the other positions too much. A buddy of mine didn't want to screw around with figuring this contest out so I gave that one to him and we'll see how it works out I suppose.Earlier I posted that to make the finals the strategy is different than what I think it actually takes to win the whole thing. To make the finals, you need nothing but consistent decent scores (be in the top 50% every week after the first few, which amazingly is a pretty consistent number with thousands of people in the running), but to win, you need to outperform every remaining contestant. So without a couple of dependable but unpopular stars its tough to make this happen. By spreading mid-range money across several players, I feel you can dramatically increase your odds of being in the top 50% every week. It also helps you from being killed by the injury bug because you have a couple of decent guys that can fill in in a pinch. If you do manage to survive to the end with LT, Peyton, Gates, CJohnson, another nice value WR, to go with a pile of $1-$2 players (yes, you can have a legal roster with all of them, I checked), I think a team like that is pretty likely to steamroll the competition. But with byes, injuries, and just dumb luck I don't think that team has the overall depth to make it all the way.Just my opinion and I look forward to seeing 499 others in the final deathmatch!
